I don't think he meant the rule rules.... but the technical differences. As he mentioned, that used to work and then it quit much like posting a url to a picture one day, then the next day if you use the same url which had an updated picture... the forum still uses the old picture ( from a cache ). Another one, the "users viewing" doesn't work and actually list the people that are there. There are a lot of these small glitches still in the forum that haven't be fixed or addressed.

yeah thats what i meant, i have had to resize a few gif's that used to work, then didn't.
i don't recall removing frames, i adjusted the dimensions

I can not say for sure what max size will work, or what how much the frame count in reference to size effects it, these are both 70 frames (i'm pretty sure) which is about what most of the gif's i make are, i do sometimes play with the frame count & frame delay time to get them to play as smooth as possible

These issues have been around since the change to the new forum software... several here posted about them to begin with and nothing was ever done to address them. The previous forum software wouldn't show invisible users either, so that isn't what I'm talking about. I almost have never used the "invisible" option myself and seldom are shown in the reposted list that some post even when I've been here and have been clicking posting for some time... I do understand if you don't do anything for a certain period ( 10 minutes I believe ) it doesn't show you as did the previous version...

They are small gripes that the powers just have let slide and never got back to getting a resolution for.

I can not say for sure what max size will work,

I typically size down my stills... the biggest I've ever tried was 1600 px wide... the forum does resize down to the width of the post area nicely.... and clicking on the pic brings it back up to the full size.

Of course a Kb or Gb size limit is talking about another thing... and I've hit that trying to post a larger PNG... to me that is acceptable, in most cases I had either picked the wrong picture or a few cases I forgot to switch to a JPG which is smaller physically.
