Along with some others... Lavender is a great relaxing oil... both aromatically as well as for absorbing through the skin. Because of that, it's great for tension related issues. I'll probably make two different blends that will include this... one with a lower amount for daytime use and one with a higher amount for evening and nighttime use.
That isn't the only essential oil used for pain related issues... the blend I'm looking at will have lavender and also have peppermint, frankincense, wintergreen, and birch.
Please note that those with aspirin sensitivity, have epilepsy, use blood thinners or are pregnant should stay away from both birch and wintergreen... They both are high in methyl salicylate.
