The Weather Channel invites viewers to 'escape the election' on Election Day

TV news networks will offer nonstop, wall-to-wall coverage on the presidential election, but at least one TV network is trying to appeal to viewers by staying away from the election.

The Weather Channel announced Tuesday it will have "absolutely zero election coverage" on Election Day. Instead, it wants to give viewers "a place to escape."

Starting at 3 p.m. ET, on November 8, The Weather Channel will have what it called a nine-hour "chill marathon guaranteed to evoke tranquility and set your soul at ease."

"The marathon will include the most beautiful, awe-inspiring and calming weather video and scenery ever caught on tape," the network said. "This world is a beautiful and magical place after all."

In its press release, it encouraged people to vote and check out the election results, but also invited people to "sit back, relax and stick your head in the clouds," promising its marathon that day will be "huge."

Disclosure: The Weather Channel television network is owned by a consortium, which includes NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC and CNBC.

OK here is the fourth and final song that i know of that the title appears only once in the song AND as the last line, there has to be more if anyone else knows of one, or one becomes apparent to you please let me know,,,,,, thanks

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
An endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
And you its only seed.

It's the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
Who cannot seem to give,
And the soul afraid of dyin'
That never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose.

I've got for ya Moonwater. "Her Favorite Style" by Iron Butterfly. Doug sings the title twice at the end of the song, but it's close! I'm gonna have to check out the other live tracks this guy posted, this is the first time I've heard this song performed live!

Exciting were her eyes, and refreshing was her smile,
So loving was her attitude, she maintained all the while,
She reaped within her softness which created a gentle mood,
And if I ever felt hunger, she would hand me a bit of food,
Oh true, she was exciting, refreshing and loving and still found a way in which she maintained all the while,
That was her fave, that was her favorite style
That was her favorite style

Some great shots there rd. You must have a lot of patience to get so many shots like these. Do you use a tripod?

Yeah... for lightning it's a tripod is a must have...

Daytime lightning shots are the toughest since you can't use a long exposure... on night shots I usually take 10 second shots which increases the odds of getting something in the shot... point, focus and then just keep clicking the shutter... I took almost a hundred shots and most have the clouds lit up at least some... didn't count how many have lightning showing though... these were just the better ones.
