Hiya Moonwater, hope your Thursday is going smoothly. :)

I'm with you on that wish also. The current models are trending more for us to get some frozen stuff ( freezing rain or sleet ) then what they were showing earlier. BUT....

Comparing what they forecasted for "now" with what is actually going on currently... they were also showing more frozen stuff in areas that are just barely getting anything according to radar. So hopefully they are more wrong for tomorrow just as they are more wrong for the current conditions. We've got a new model run coming up at 6pm... that should bring them back more in line with whats actually going on... Once that is computed, I'll look at what they look like again.

Thanks RDS. :thumb: Even if you're not a full-blown meteorologist, it's still nice to have a friend who's as into following the weather as you are.

Not even somewhat close to anything like a met... just interested enough to watch the stuff and compare what I'm seeing to what I can remember from the past.

Ok... weather stuff as it is now ( more or less ) with some more model discrepancies still...

Here is the current national radar. Notice the white areas which represent snow... the grays, blues and greens are rain precips...

Now here is the 7pm ( CDT ) NAM weather model... notice how much more precip ( rain and snow types ) that were forecasted for the hour... If this pessimistic forecast is this far off... I think it's a good sign that tomorrow's forecasts that they've been discussing are also likely to be that far off also.

I do think we'll see some freezing precip in the central plains, I'm just hopeful it won't be as much as they seem to be indicating.

Near the volcano
Took a little internet break again. To easy to not get stuff done. We have to get the house ready for a new dog. Adopting a guide dog for the blind reject, that will go into training for being a therapy dog. Gonna be interesting I hope. Maybe help me get out of my introverted shell a bit.
