Hi RD, hi Moon!
Thanks Moon we are excited. Not sure when it will happen but we are at the top of the list so I am told. Then there will be extensive training for us and the dog. Then after successful completion we will be part of the Portland area canine therapy team(PACTT).

Maybe help me get out of my introverted shell a bit.

Being a bit of an introvert myself... I have to ask why.

People are a mix of introverted and extroverted, there is nothing indicated one is better or worse. Introverts tend to think things through more, extroverts are better at leadership roles because of them being more outgoing but not so well at planning stuff all of the way through. Of course, no one is just one or the other... typically we are a mix of both.

There is nothing wrong with expanding your horizons... just also accept and like yourself for what you are. There is not anyone that is just like you, know what you know or see's things the way you do.

Here is a cool Ted's talk on the subject of introverts ...

I agree RD. Nothing wrong with either. I have actually watched that ted talk before. I haven't seen or talked to anybody except for the girl in a month. Gets a little lonely sometimes. Would like to make some new friends in the new state. This seemed like a good ideal on many fronts. Help people, help me not be so hermit like, get me out of the house a little.

I do the same quite often... stay home and not get out. I do like to get out with small groups of friends, but most of my best long time friends have now pasted away leaving me with only a small handful many of which live a distance from me. Still, I do try to keep in touch with those that may be a long drive to visit. I've pick up a few new friends from time to time... So I do know what you are talking about from my own perspective.

OK, got two this time that are done (or almost). The second one has a middle bridge that I want to add something to, horns maybe, or strings. But they're both works I've always felt passionately, I guess that makes a difference. Both Beatles covers (of course). Here's the first:

Ok... looking at the latest forecast models... they are still showing a much more pessimistic outlook than what is actually happening.... thankfully.

Here is the current 2am ( CST ) radar capture I grabbed. This includes what is called ptyping to estimate the type of precip IF it were making it to the ground ( remember the radar beam is hundreds to thousands of feet in the sky, it doesn't measure actual rain... just the cloud density ). Note that rain precip is from gray, blues into the greens ( full color scale at the top )... sleet are using the red colors and freezing rain is represented by the pinks.

SC_Current.jpg

The HRRR model simulated composite radar with ptyping for the same timeframe.

It looks to me as if the model is overly pessimistic at best... which is likely good news for us in the morning hours at least. I do suspect I'll see some freezing precip of some type by some point in the morning... I'm guessing a trace or a little more. Doozie will probably get some a bit later on after I do... OBG, it may be pretty late in the afternoon getting to you if that soon.
