Just tried a new photo editor program... and I'm going to NOT recommend it to others. The one I tried last night is called Corel Photoshop X9 Ultimate... I already own the X3 version and have found it handy for some types of edits such as getting rid of an object in the shot or changing colors of certain objects. The new one does all of that and does it even better but the problem is is very slow at it, at least when it comes to starting with a RAW digital pic like I take ( the older version doesn't support RAW images ).
I only had gotten an interest in the new version because it was on sale on Amazon for less than I could have purchased an upgrade direct from Corel and the updates to the program sounded enticing. I also seldom edit or enhance a shot beyond what is needed in post processing of a RAW image ( similar to what is done when developing a film picture ).
After I ordered the software on sale ( it was a flash sale only available for a few hours ), I downloaded the trial version from Corel so I could try it before opening the software I'd purchased since you can't get a refund on software that you've opened typically. I'd tried to cancel the order after trying out the trial version and it was already too far along in the packaging to stop the shipment. I returned it this morning just after receiving it.
