Ok... you probably guessed what was coming next...


Got the telescope assembled and aligned the spotter scope ( just a red dot scope )... and played a little with it. I still need to colaminate it, which means line up the mirrors properly, so it'll focus a little better. I'll get around to that later...

Da Moon... this is actually two pics merged, all of it almost but didn't quite fit in frame. The only cropping this time ( all of them were before ) was to square up the merged shots so everything was centered better. ( the slight bluish edge along the top and right of it, is partly from the mirrors not being aligned fully yet )

Yeah... that's from the ejecta from the larger crater towards the lower right... of course there are also smaller ones as well.

I'm real happy with the 'scope right now, even without it being completely setup...

Happy Birthday Baby Jacob! He turned the big 1 today.

We are having a huge family gathering and celebration on Saturday, so we will not be shipping Saturday.

Found out today that my cousin, who's actually my blood brother on guitar was given a month or two to live. We go back prolly bout close to fifty years. Played in bands together (some hilarious stories therein) since at least the seventies. Up till a few years ago jammed at my house, and years before that spent many late nights crashing on the floor with rehearsals at his place. We've always had exactly identical tastes in music, and playing style. Which made for great playing together times. And some "odd" moments, like Bailey's Irish Cream over Cheerios for breakfast, racing pickups against each other on a (somewhat) deserted city street at 4 in the morning, sneaking into a former band member's parents house to get our equipment which they were holding hostage, both quitting a band that members were playing us one against the other (that surprised them!), and prob many more things that I can't think of right now. He's about 4 years older than I. Really weird emotions, still trying to digest this all...

we all know it'll be time to move on one day but just hearing it makes one's mind go into turmoil especially for a long time friendship. Weird emotions are completely normal. Don't feel alone cuz he is going thru the same feelings too. He will continue to play with you, hope you know that. Keep those memories alive, he will be listening, take comfort in that. Until then tell him you love him every chance you get
