I wasn't until just a minute or so ago ( about when you posted )... Had another day hangin' out in an ER...
This time it was for my Mom... She woke around 4am shivering cold and couldn't get warm. Dad got her another blanket and tested her BP which wasn't great at 114/71... later when she tried to get up to go to the ba
throom she had no energy and Dad had to help her, afterword they tested her BP again and it was just about 100/50 ( can't remember that one exactly, so just close to that )... They decided it would be a good idea to go to the ER and Dad called a neighbor from across the street to help him get Mom to the car since she really couldn't stand or walk on her own. I got the call about 8:30am and got ready and left to meet them and also called my sister.
The only thing the tests could see was a little indication of pneumonia in the lower left lung and a slight indication of an infection from the slight temp she was running. They gave her a script for some strong antibiotics and something for nausea and I followed them back to their house. On the way back, I swung by their church to borrow a wheelchair so we could get her around easier. After getting her settled back into bed... I ran to get the scripts so Dad could keep an eye on her just in case.
We got her to eat a little soup later... I went to the store and stocked them up on a couple of different soups so she could have a little variety as well as some fruit. Before leaving, I made a quick jello fruit salad so if she felt like eating something with more substance she could get some vitamins also. By the time I left this evening she was barely showing a little more energy but not as you'd notice it much, basically she was setting up by herself on a couple of occasions and that was about it.
BTW... While I've pushed more wheelchairs that I can shake a stick at... I guess I've never done that on carpet before, that is almost hard work.. Hopefully Mom will get her strength back soon because that wheelchair may send my Dad to the ER next...
