Good evening y'all, I hope everyone's had a good Tuesday. Mine was all right, until something went weird with the coil I'm using right now .I generally like the notch coils, except for the fact that they don't last as long as I'd like. If I could find the little Allen wrench that fits the screws on my Theorem tank, I could probably at least see whether I need to replace the coil or just tighten things up a bit .I think I'm on the last notch coil I got when I ordered the tank, so it would really suck if I need to rep place the coil. When will my life improve again?? !grr!

Sorry I'm being such a downer lately. Hopefully things will improve for me soon.

Groceries bought (well, as much as 2 people can consume in couple days), batteries charged, liq mixed, dog bones gotten, beer acquired. We're in for another nor'easter tomorrow, 2nd one in 3 days (and another on tap for next week). I'm thinking good day to finally break down the nic i bought in August of '16. Gonna have to look up the percentages, etc., again. I know we had a convo about that all, have to look back again. Talk at y'all tomorrow...

Jmur... INCOMING... ( 12:16pm ET )

The white->blues->purple/slate colors are snow... the other areas are rain. If this was all rain, I'm seeing rates from 0.75-1.53" per hour in the heavier areas. With temps in the 30-36° range, it's going to be something like a normal to a relatively wet snow. So I'm guessing 10-15" for the normal snows to 8-10" for the wet ( per inch of rainfall amount ).

Currently it looks like the heavy snow area is heading at you.. maybe it'll get pushed to the north of you but currently it's not looking that way.

Jmur... morning update 8:04am ET

The intensity of the storm approaching your area has decreased. The worst radar rainfall ( hourly ) rates are now down to 0.2" per hour with most areas are in the 0.05" rate at the worst. I'm using KDIX radar for this shot... the actual area the storm takes up is a bit wider than shown since this only shows a single radar site's info.

Well, got about 8" of wet, REAL heavy snow now, winds blowing 30 - 40mph. So far we haven't lost power, BUT...tens of thousands around us have. About 3 hours left of the snow, but even when it ends, it's the weight on the branches and wires that scare the hey out of me. Fingers crossed...
