Don't forget... modding the Apollo is today at 6PM, on TotalVapingNetwork.com

:D

Hey, Lord Davon, I sent someone your way a few days ago who was having an airflow issue with a product I know you mod... hope that's ok. ;) And is there any way to see those TVN things after the fact, does anyone know? I haven't been to sleep yet from last night, so i'll miss it, but am extremely curious.

It's supposed to be 2.6-2.8 out of the box. is it possible you got a false reading the first time? The only thing I know that would change the resistance on something would be particulate on the coils? Not sure though, maybe an expert can chime in.

It is possible there might have been something on the Apollo itself....but when I checked the resistance intially...I checked on 2 PVs....got 3.0 on one, and 3.1 on the other. (both ProVaris)

Curious to why you would want to mod the Apollo? Mine has worked perfect out of the box.:)

I hear ya....the only thing I did was remove the top floating wick....mine has worked flawlessly....I ordered another one yesterday. Between Apollo and new Vivi Nova....my CE4s are gathering dust right now.

For people who got CE6s or CE3s that cracked.....I painted my cracked CE4s with Ambroid plastic weld.....3 out of 5 are working great now. I loaded them up with water last night....3 of them were still intact this morning. Have been vaping one of them for a couple hours to test....no leaking or oozing, even though it had 3-4 good sized cracks. The two that lost water will get another coat tonight.

I didn't remove the top wick on mine being as it was working good. I figure there must be some reason for it but if I have issues I will remove it. So far though no problems and I'm on my 5th refill.
I'm also having good luck with the Nova's except I popped a coil in one but it was extremely easy to replace and at only a 1.49 for a new one I'm happy!

I think it's to show how to re-wick it so it can be used over and over:)

That could be it because he did mention something about recoiling them. If the replacement coils are as cheap as the ones for the Nova's I wouldn't know why anyone would want to recoil them themself. Of course lots of guys like to tinker just to tinker. lol Not me though unless it is absolutely necessary.

dinner time on Fathers day.... :(

I will be out paying for my own fathers day dinner LOL

can that be recorded?

Yes. Usually I do record them, but not today's. I was having system issues, and once they were corrected, I ended up braking my Apollo. :( So, we will be doing it next Sunday.

I am always happy to help anyone. You are always welcome to send people my way.

Happy Father's Day to Eric and all Dads. And LD, I plan on watching tonight, assuming Beau Hossler doesn't make a run at the US Open. In which case I'll be distracted.

Thank you!

Well, you just need to do the math. See, if you take the shape of the Apollo, divide it by the innards replacements, and add it to user -- you get that I am a little crazy! Seriously, you mod something like this... because it can be modded. It is a good looking tank, and it works really well out-of-the-box. But, as with everything... there are ways to make it better.

modders gotta mod...

Hey! Stop using the truth! You could hurt someone with that thing!

rofl @ 'modders gotta mod'... and thanks, LD! I figured you wouldn't mind since you go out of your way to help people. Was the nova his airflow was funky on, and I'm NOT a modder, so all I could suggest is the airflow fix for the 1.7ohm resurrectors, but have no idea if that'll work, so figured it was safest to send him to you. Looked in review like you'd figured it out pretty thoroughly. ;) And glad I didn't miss the modding thing on the Apollo! Really excited about those ones, but waiting on innards to see if they're affordable for me, long term. ;)

First thing I did to my Apollo when it arrived was same thing I do to all my E1s, remove the short wick replace with a long wick cut a small v notch in either side of the silicone cap(about 1mm v<~not even that big) filled it, mounted it turned up the V8 to 4v and been enjoying loads of thick pillowy vapor ever since.
