Oh, fudge, that's right you said it was the same up until a certain voltage right?

Well, it uses pulse width, and I think the trigger is amperage, when it goes into constant. The v8 and VV Tube pulse identically, with even the same peak, the the lower averages... everything. I would bet that it uses the same electronics.

Ok Eric, I know you are REALLY getting tired of this:facepalm:, but it's time to get back on the horse. When will you get the REAL Vision Mini ViVi Nova tanks if you are going to get them. I TRULY want to get as much of my gear as I can from you, it's just that someone else :oops:has them on sale right now for only $9.95 w 2.4 ohm heads and looooong wicks. I have to get at least 2 now. If you are not going to get them for a few weeks, I am gonna stock up.

HONEST, I almost hate going somewhere else:mad:, I know what it's like to start up and run an internet biz. Ours failed because 2 of the three of us couldn't stop trying to do everything. I got out just before the plug was pulled. I lost half of what I could have lost. You have been around for a couple of years now so you're gonna really rock as long as you keep doing what you're doing:toast:. The absolute most important thing to remember is,......KEEP PUTTING SMILEY BALLS IN THE PACKAGES!!!:D (or as your son calls them, prizes) If I keep ordering like I do my cats are gonna know your packages and open them by themselves to get to their "TOY".

Kind of got off subject there, another ADD moment, the Mini ViVi's. If & when?
Thanks Norm "Tully" Tanner

Smiley balls - No smiley balls for me please, my kids are adults, and I don't know what to do with them, the cats and the dog won't play with 'em either ;) Just sayin'.

Question:
How often do you need to replace the Vivi Nova heads? I am finding mine are crapped out after about a week.

\I'm still using the original heads....some for over 3 months now....have only had to replace one in that time. I don't use the LR ones....don't know if that makes a difference.

I'm still using my original heads from long ago too. The LR ones are my favorite  so I guess they both last a long time :D ( I've been buying a few more heads everytime I order so I have a good 'stash' of them ) My favorite vapes are these rebuildable things. Far out do the old style filled cartos in my opinion anyways :)

I've used several different clearomizers and it's been my experience that it depends on a few different things. If you're using a heavier VG mix or a darker/sweeter juice, then you'll have to replace/clean the heads more often. The nice thing about the ViVi Nova and the other changeable head clearos is that cleaning is much easier than it used to be with the older clearos (Stardust for example). With proper cleaning, most heads can go through about 4 or 5 cleaning cycles before the wick material and/or coil starts to break down. At that point, you'll either need to replace the head entirely or rebuild the wick and coil in the head assembly.

I agree BuGlen, it has alot to do with the juices. I DIY my juice and I make up 80pg/20vg for myself. It is a light thin juice. I've heard the same from so many people that the heavier VG and 'darker' juices gunk up quicker tho.

I have no vodka or anything here at the house so I just rinse with hot water several times or soak the heads in a water 'bath' in a glass for awhile and then let them dry a lil bit and dry burn. I have no idea if that's the 'correct' way to do this but my heads are still going strong and always tastes good to me :)
( Re-wicking or re-coiling whatever you wanna call it, is very easy the way these are made, so don't be afraid to try that either :) )

VapDrak, I was rescued by 5 cats, they got my shots, had me fixed and they take care of me, so I clean their p00p box, feed them and give them Toys. So how many carats for a pound of catnip? If he stops with the smiley balls it's ok. Just NO CANDY! Ants and other crawling things find that my mail box is easily accessible when there's food in there. plus when it's hot it gets nasty. The plane is pretty cool.

I clean mine after every couple tanks.....just like you do. I do the dry burns at low voltage....that's the only thing I can think of that might be different.

how long do you dry burn it? Maybe I'm doing it too long. The coils end up turning into a black looking blob when I do it. I've never had any trouble doing it on a stardust but I can't seem to do the vivi's right.

I just do a series of short 1-2 second bursts until the "smoke" goes away, and I can see the coils glow. Sometimes it takes a while....but I have never burnt one. I also let them cool down if they start getting hot.

hmmm, well that's about what I do. I may be holding down the fire button more than 2 seconds though, usually about 5. I'll try shorter bursts. Thanks for the help!

Silver UNIQ Lava 3.0 Clarification

I have a couple of early version original Lava Tubes that I'm going to replace with "something". A device that will allow the use of the eGo style connection (recessed well surrounding the 510 connection) is one of my prerequisites.

I have just finished viewing the Busardo reviews of the L-Rider and Young June devices, and the Young June (or an equivalent) would be my device of choice.

Of course I come first to DiscountVaper to find a product, and the Uniq Lava 3.0 appears to be what I'm looking for. Here are my concerns/questions:

1. Three reviews for the Silver Uniq Lava 3.0 refer to it as the L-Rider, however in looking at the description and pictures the Uniq 3.0 Lava appears to be more like (or posibly even) the Young June version because of the ability to display the Coil Resistance, the fact that the Set Voltage cannot be locked, and the type (non floating center pin) of 510 connection.

2. Since many of the eGo style devices cannot be attached to the L-Rider version (due to the limited depth of the well surrounding the 510 connection) I definitely do not want an L-Rider type PV.

3. Since there is no picture of the display on the Uniq 3.0 Lava, can someone tell me if when the display button is pressed does it display first the Resistance, and then the Set Voltage, with a small battery level ICON on the right?

4. Bottom line - Is the Uniq 3.0 Lava a L-Rider or a Young June "type" device?
