Hi Kalebk! I just found this video on YouTube that shows how to take your Vamo apart. Someone in a Facebook group had a problem with their Vamo and this was a response to it.
That's one of the videos I watched to learn how to take apart the Vamo. The guy in the video is ECF member rnoserious. It's a good video, but he makes it look much easier than it really is :)

EDIT: I think putting it in a bag of rice overnight would be a much easier thing to try first, and then consider disassembly if it doesn't work. :)

I bet it is harder than it looks! I am not mechanically inclined, myself. I would probably try the rice method, that you mentioned, first. Then, if that failed, I would have my hubby do the hard work for me!

LOL, we were typing at the same time :) KalebK and his dad have already had a round with the Vamo, and the Vamo won.

Oh no! I was just going to post a link to the thread that talks about taking apart the Vamo, too. It's here and many people were talking about how hard it was to take the top off without scratching it up. Also, there were a few tips on avoiding it. Sorry to hear, KalebK!

It's probably just some extra moisture from the air got stuck in your Vamo. You would have to take the entire head apart to remove the screen. The top cap is press fit into the top of the tube (that first seam near the top is where the two parts meet), and that can be carefully removed. The other option is to put your Vamo in a bag of rice and see if it absorbs the extra moisture...people do that with other personal electronics to dry them out.
Rice is a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks Stone! Your the man!

That's good! I think I'll stick with wraps and tubes for my MVP and eVic...lol. My hubby wants a wrap for his Vamo V2. He has the black finished one and I've heard that the finish wears off pretty quickly. He also says it's kind of slippery for him. At least he has a lanyard it'll fit in.

I covered my chrome Vamo with a carbon fiber wrap. I thoroughly disliked the feel of the chrome, and the fingerprints drove me crazy (well, crazier).

Fingerprints drive me crazy, too! My husband is set on a wrap he found with flames. I don't know if I'm talented enough on the PC to make my own.

The beautiful thing about that Vamo thread is that Peraspera has already created the pattern. All you have to do is print out 2 copies, one to check the fit (not all Vamos are the same size :glare:) and one for cutting out the vinyl. But ordering one ready to go is much easier.
He is our rock.:toast: *see what I did there*
That was punny

I don't have much patience for creating things, myself. It's good that there is a pattern for it, though. I'm sure it'd be cheaper to make your own wrap than buying it.

I had a question to anyone who has the Kanger eVod batteries. Do you use a lanyard for them? If so, what type? I'm thinking the regular eGo ones won't work, since the buttons on the Kanger eVod's are flush with the battery. I even read from another vendor that they won't. My husband is insisting they will (he doesn't even have those kind of batteries, he has eGos). I'm just curious, because I have a few of the eGo lanyards that are lying around doing nothing. Once I get my Kanger batteries, I'm giving my eGo batteries to someone who could use them and might include the lanyards, also. I just don't want to give my hot pink one away if it'll work. TIA!

Tina, not sure if this is want you want or need, but this is what I use for my Evod batteries! I have one of these on a Spinner and the other on an Evod battery.

I got these at an optical shop last year and have been using them ever since.......the bands fit tightly and have not broken. They're wonderful for occasions that I want to keep low profile........I just tuck them inside my blouse, and then all you can see is the 'necklace'.....

I love that!!! What a great idea, so pretty! And I see those things everywhere practically, I have to replace my readers a lot those are always nearby. Somewhere I actually have one of those things, but it's not pretty like yours are. Thanks for sharing that!

I have to use readers myself, and now I wear those on top of my head, and opt for the PV around my neck.......I am fully prepared........at least with reading and vaping! :)

Ree, I hope you are resting well by now! For now, I am going to try the o-ring on my lanyard. Feel better soon!

That is a unique idea, Flowersoul! Thamks for the idea! Next time I am out shopping I will give them a look!

Hope everyone has a great day! I am hoping to go to bed soon! I am really tired this morning!
