Hi all, got a question for the community at large.

I just got called a nasty name and a poor business for not contacting someone and telling them their order was ready for pickup at a Post Office box.

I am curious, is this a normal service vendors are expected to provide? (or should?)
I have never heard of this and it never occurred to me.



Also a follow up question, when you have a post office box does it always say in tracking that the package is "available for pickup"?

No, you have no responsibility to call customers to tell them what USPS is doing with their package. They presumably have a computer and can track their own packages. I am a PO box customer, and if the package is too big to fit in the box, there is a bright yellow card that says the package is available at the window.

When the postmistress processes the package and it can fit in the box, she scans the package three times, for arrived, available for pickup, and delivered (since the box is my property, although rented). If it cannot fit, she scans it twice, and again for delivered when we exchange the yellow card and the package.

The window is open for only sixteen hours a week, which is probably about normal for a village PO.

So I needed a new mod box for my mini protanks good excuse as any rite ? Anyways, this is the one I made. I just finished it today and snapped a few pics of it. I don't habe a good camera so you'll have to use your "enhance-a-vision" while looking at it it don't look that sloppy in real life.

*it's actually a 'Fishermans Friend' cough drop tin, stripped and then I painted on it*

Happy Sunday every one!! I spoke to my sister, still in the hospital. A fireman found her backpack with ID & credit cards. He is returning it to her at the hospital. She has a cast on her leg & a medical evac pump on her elbow, some puncture wound. She will be recover completely. I am so grateful she is alive. She wished me a good surgery. Every thing will work its self out. I have my vape gear set up on my desk. Will be easy for me to access for a month. I know i will be wearing a solid leg brace for a while. I am hugging you all & wish the best for every 1!!!
