Good morning friends. That would be awesome Stone! I can think of it as a bday present from you. My birthday is on the 29th of this month and I get paid on Feb. 1. I'm thinking of either an rsst or a kayfun clone. Thoughts anyone?
If I had to choose knowing what I now know, I personally would choose a Kayfun device (Kayfun, Kayfun Lite, Russian 91%, or one of the other clones). I only own the R91, so that is the device where I have experience. It has airflow control, which really helps adjust the vape. I am also supposed to be able to adjust the juice flow as well, but honestly I'm not sure if that feature has worked for me (I have learned how to wick it to work for me, so maybe that's a wash). The R91 doesn't leak if it is set on the side. I prefer hemp fiber as a wick with the R91, but I have successfully used cotton and silica. I haven't tried any of the ceramic or hybrid builds in the R91, but others have here on ECF.

The RSST is a genisis style device, and out of the ones I tried I liked it best. With that said, it has a good sized wick hole which can be made larger if the insulator is removed. For me, the problems with the RSST are that some of them still mysteriously leak...meaning that seasoned people will get leaking somewhere in the center of the RBA, but can't find the cause. I haven't had that problem with mine, though. However, being a genisis type of device, you can't lay your PV down...it has to stay standing up. My RSST leaks condensation out of the airhole sometimes if it is leaning in a holder. At first, I thought it leaked, but once someone else mentioned it I realized the same was happening to me. It's not great, but easy to take care of once I was aware of it.

The R91 feels sturdier to me, like it could take more abuse. I don't take my RBAs out, so I haven't tested that theory :)

The RSST is easier to refill, IMO. I use a syringe or a syringe tip bottle to refill the R91. I use the refill screw in the bottom of the R91, so that must be removed to fill the tank (and it's a tiny screw to keep track of).

Both of them have tiny parts that require a bit of dexterity. I don't know how important that is to you, but I think the RSST might be a bit easier to handle in that respect. It seems that many people like the spring and washer on the RSST, which made it easier for some people when wicking it. I liked the finger nuts on the center post (like an AGA, for example) better...but some of you know I can be weird :D

I hope all of these thoughts make sense, and hope that they help you think about what you want to get out of your RBA. Feel free to ask anything, and I will answer the best I can. I bet others on this thread would be willing to offer some advice as well. Happy hunting!

Good morning everyone! I finally got the whole thing sorted out with the crooked merchant... I went through PayPal and filed a dispute! First they tried threatening me then they backed down, refunded my money and canceled the order.

I swear I hate dealing with anyone but DV (Eric)!

Sorry you had to even go through that whole evolution, Ree. :(
No fun.
Glad you persevered though!!
And beat them at their own game!!:)

Pink... pink... it's sooo hard to sell That said, if you have a request for a specific mod maybe I can strong arm a manufacturer into giving me one instead of their minimums

Eric do you want me to email you?

Ree

sure :)

let me know what you are looking for if it's in a catalog I'll see if I can get it, although it may be a while, they are all shutting down in the next few days to a week.
