Good morning Amiaji, Fran, and DV :) TGIF!!

Is she coming from another state?
Or are you all NYers?
She's coming from another state, but she lives fairly close by. She's making a day trip :) I'm excited to see her! We talk several times each week, but we don't get to visit often.

Should be fun! Have you taken her to Tom's Restaurant (Monk's from the Seinfeld show)?
Read Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander just filmed another episode of 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' there this week(!)
I bet you run into so many celebrities all the time so you probably don't get star struck! LOL!

    How's your shoulder/arm these days?
Mobile enough to get back(stage) on (off-,off-off- or just plain) Broadway? :)
Guessing from what I read in the WSJ and NYT arts section lately,
they are in dire need of more creative production staff!!!!
    :)

We haven't gone to Tom's...I'm not sure that is really her speed. I know I can entice her with fancy chocolate shops, though (and have :)). No, I don't really get starstruck. I'm sure there will be an exception or two yet in my time in NYC, but I haven't been starstruck in recent years.

Thanks for asking about my shoulder. I saw the surgeon last week and he finally released me to work. I have to make sure that I find an easier than normal gig, but I have started to look and I already have an offer and a couple of other leads :thumb: I missed the article(s) expressing a need for creative staff...NYC seems utterly lousy with creatives :D

I've worked in LA. I don't like it much at all...I missed NY the whole time. I did make some great friends that I still keep in touch with, though :)

here's what I found; up your alley?
"Musical Director, Choreographer and Costume Designer needed for New Rock Musical
Saving Grace Productions is looking for a Musical Director, Choreographer and Costume Designer for Trouble: A New Rock Musical that will be presented at this year's Midtown Festival in New York. About the show: Trouble is in the air, as a group of high school friends face love, death, loss, first times, passion and betrayal. 6 lives. 24 hours. Forever changed. Musical Director: Must be enthusiastic, committed and be excited by pop/rock music. You will be required to rehearse the cast of seven and play keys during the show dates. Ability to play guitar would be a bonus but not essential. Backing tracks will be used for the performance with some live underscoring. Choreographer: We are looking for someone innovative, hard working and a strong collaborator who understands dramatic structure. Stylistically, we would like someone who is experienced/familiar with physical theatre (such as work by DV8 or Frantic Assembly) and more contemporary dance styles. Costume Designer: Must have a strong fashion-forward sense of style and that is in tune with popular trends to create a signature look for the teenage characters. Being familiar with current youthful British fashion is a plus. Will be in charge of sourcing costume pieces and styling/fitting actors. Rehearsal dates: on or about July 7 through the 26th. Show dates: 4 performances in the last week of July. A small fee to be negotiated. For more information about the show and festival: http://www.troublethemusical.com http://www.midtownfestival.org/ To apply please email your resume, contact details and any video representation you have of your work to: savinggraceproductions@gmail.com In the subject line, please write your position applying for and then name. (For example: MUSICAL DIRECTOR: Your Name) We look forward to hearing from you!
    Address: New York, NY 10119"
