Guys and Gals, please do not post your order details in the forum for your evod order.
There is no need. I know who has ordered what and when (although that itself will be a chore to sort out)

I assure you I am going to get official word from Kanger about any recall and get all the details and share them, for now just stop using them until I hear about it.

The issue here is I am not going to have even a small percent of stock batteries to replace them with and Kanger I am sure will be slow to drag their feet on replacing them, or at least be overloaded with requests for replacement.

This isn't going to be done overnight.

I just looked at how many people ordered evod batteries and I almost passed out at the amount of work this is going to create.
So... please be patient as I gather the right information, officially from Kanger.

I will update all when I know more, please do not contact me about it unless you do not see a post here or an email from me in the next few days with all the details, I will post here and send out an email once I am sure of the facts, the batches, and what we are going to do about it. This may take a while.

I am hoping it's just the one vendor who originally sent out the notice and that they had a special order or something.. otherwise, we are really .. screwed on this one in terms of time and effort.

From a safety standpoint if it affects anything I've sold I will work my fingers to the bone to get it fixed and it will probably come to that lol. I just have to think about Logistics here and getting it all worked out.

If Kanger is sending out replacement batteries to everyone then I can imagine that my order will not be the first to go out.
and their factory will be so busy pumping them out that a lot of other stuff will get shelved or delayed.

Evod batteries

Just as an update, unofficial still but I was told the recall is real from another vendor I trust, just not enough information to determine what exactly is affected.

They have several batches out and apparently Kanger seems to have sent out upgraded (safer) batteries in the meantime, from what I hear a lot of my recent purchases are "safe" but will hold judgement until I have all the facts and will not assume anything.

I need to find out what is what before I send an email or post.

My recommendation at this point is to just stop using them until I hear more on it.

Please bear with me on all of this, I don't want to rush out a recall and panic anyone only to retract some parts of it..

I am hitting the sack soon but should hopefully know more in the morning.

Again, I cannot stress enough that is is not going to be an overnight or few day solution, I expect that once I actually do a recall I will have hundreds of immediate emails and returns. I do not have the quantity in stock to return even a small percentage of what I have sold and will need a restock from Kanger before I can start replacing them en masse. I don't actually have enough batteries in total of everything I carry to do it , all brands and models combined

Nor do I have the "staff" to do it all at once.

I will do my best though.

I was afraid I'd have to hold off giving it to her, or find another system.

I know I feel much better.

Update:

No eVod batteries are affected by Kangers Recall! If you have purchased eVods from DiscountVapoers you have safe batteries and there is no cause for concern or return.

To all KangerTech customers:

KangerTech is voluntarily recalling all EVOD batteries purchased through Heaven Gifts, that were supplied between the end of March and beginning of April. While only a few batteries may be affected, we are recalling the entire batch of 6000 EVOD batteries.

We were recently made aware of an issue with an EVOD battery sold through Haven Gifts, an official KangerTech distributor. After extensive research, we found a potential issue with the internal cell used in the manufacturing of the EVOD, which could fail during the charging of the battery. These EVOD batteries were manufactured between the end of March to early April, and were only distributed to Heaven Gifts.

KangerTech takes its customers safety very seriously, and is working with Heaven Gifts to recall and replace all of the EVOD batteries that may have this issue. While we recognize the inconvenience recalls cause our customers, we are taking these actions on their behalf to help ensure their safety.

EVOD batteries sold directly through KangerTech, and other authorized resellers, are not affected in this recall, and are safe to use. If there are any questions regarding the safety of your EVOD battery, please feel free to contact your place of purchase, or KangerTech directly.
