ProTank II is in stock:

Kanger ProTank II - Clear Glass

The Kanger ProTank II offers the same great features and performance as the Kanger ProTank but now has removable parts and a removable drip tip.
The Protank II is 510 threaded and will work on all 510 threaded devices and mod's without the need for an adapter.

Features:
Replaceable Atomizer Heads (can be used with eVod coils or vice versa see note below)
Bottom Coil for better performance from your eliquid
Removable and replacable Pyrex Glass Tank for protection from harsh liquids
Capacity is 2.5ml but it can hold up to 3ml if you fill it at less of an angle.
Comes with 2.5ohms coils
Uses the same coils and base as the original ProTank

Please Note: This is the NEW Protank that comes completely apart, please see the pictures for a parts list.
Also, let the ProTank sit for a moment after filling, a minute first to let the liquid get to the coil. Not allowing it to sit can cause a burned coil.

Includes:
1 ProTank II
1 ProTank Base (uses the same base as the original protank)
2 ProTank Coils (uses the same coils as the original protank)
1 Drip Tip
1 Cardboard/plastic box to store the tank.

Dimensions: 49.55mm Height (without drip tip) x 18.35mm Diameter

Eric's Notes:
Please be careful with this tank, it is made of glass and can shatter and break if dropped. Breakage of the tank is not warrantied, the glass tops can be purchased (soon)
Also, the eVod and ProTank coils are interchangable Also, Kanger has shipped these as 2.5ohms and they should both be 2.5ohm coils, but occasionally Kanger swaps them without the vendor knowing.
The coils are not warrantied, ohms are not exchangable.

Eric's Review:
LOVE It. Great improvement with the removable drip tip and the ability to fix a broken glass tank, I will also have the replacement glass shortly. That said, if you do not wish to fiddle with the parts and do not mind the original ProTank tip, then this isn't an "upgrade" for you, I prefer the original because the drip tip is permanent, but now you have the option! :) It uses the same base as the original so be carefull with this, it is top heavy and needs to be handled with care, there have been a lot of ProTank bases that have snapped. Do not keep it attached to your battery when not in use, do not store it in a pocket or puse attached to the battery.

My review for the forum here is that I like it, I do, I did seem to get a bad coil in one though. I opened two of them (for personal use) and one ProTank out of the box is stellar, the other had the bad coil, so I suggest you have extra coils on hand in case it happens to you.

Update: Ok so before I hit "submit" on this post I picked up the "bad" one again and it seems to be fine. I think the new parts of the ProTank might require this to sit a while longer than usual? Not sure but it's tastes fine now. :)

Regarding Coil Heads

I am out of the labeled "ProTank" 2.5 ohms for now (comes in the black box) , but will have them coming in a day or so. BUT the "eVod/ProTank" coil is the same thing (in the white box), so technically I do have 2.5 coils, they are just labeled "Evod/ProTank coil" instead of "ProTank coil"

I have had a few people tell me that the white boxed are not the same thing since Kanger started shipping the longer stem coils but I have put them side by side and I cannot see any difference. I hate to say it's in someones head, but I can't see a difference between the two but still will withhold my opinion on it.

If someone see's a real difference I can look for between the two please let me know.

Also, as with anything that is new and in demand, we will do our best to get all orders out on the same schedule as usual but if this gets crazy... it might not go out as fast as normal.

I order from DV if they have it in stock, great prices and customer service, shipping is lightening fast. So how was everyone's 2nd day back at the grindstone? Please let me know how the Protank 2 differs, performance wise to the Protank. I wasn't crazy about the first one, I thought it had a muted metallic taste.

It will be the same, the coils are the same so there should not be any difference in taste or performance as far as I know, so far it seems the same to me, except I had to wait a minute or so before using it.

I got a tip from a customer today, she rinses/soaks her new coils in distilled water and said the taste was better on her protank coils. I have never tried this but figured I'd pass it along.

It does work, it takes away the metallic taste but the flavor is still muted, I really want to like this tank more.

I have about 50 new coils in the drawer (you can NEVER have too much vape gear), and based on the recent comments I'm going to dump them all in some PGA. I'd use distilled water, but do not know what long term effects water might have if I don't use them right away.

Good evening, everyone! Those Protank 2's look pretty! Pretty uneventful day! Glad everything went well, Ree! Kaleb, good luck finding a new APV! I think I'm heading to bed, soon! Got a long day ahead of me, tomorrow! Wish me luck, as I see the Orthopedic surgeon in the afternoon. My insurance won't cover Synvisc injections, so it looks like knee surgery is my only option! I really hope this surgeon will see my side of things! Hope everyone has a great night!

Now that I have your attention, I'll relate my latest experience with the ProTank.

I loaded up 4 ProTanks for the 20 hour drive between Portland, OR and home in AZ. All went well with the first 3, however when I grabbed the 4th ProTank which was on an eVic I found that it had leaked big time into the eVic.

No time to investigate until I got home, and upon disassembly of the ProTank I found that the coil was not tight in the base. I know that I had tightened it when I installed it, so now the question was why was it (did it come) loose.

I found that when screwing the ProTank onto a PV, the center pin of the ProTank makes contact with the center pin of the PV before the threads are fully tightened. This can cause the center pin of the PV to actually turn (and unscrew) the coil in the ProTank.

It doesn't happen every time, but over time and several refills and reinstallation, the coil can become loose in the base resulting in leakage.

I'm glad that I found the cause, as the ProTank has become the only device that I use, and was fearful that some random leaking (like the T3 and MT3 when down to 1/4 full) might be happening.

To prevent this from happening, just check the coil when you remove the base to fill the ProTank. Now to disassemble the eVic and get it cleaned up.

Happy HUMPDAY!!!! Half way done at work, thank God... Yesterday @ work, HR sent out an email.. NO E-CIG devices are to be used in the buildings, so my enjoyable time at a desk, is not enjoyable... It is what it is. I have been waiting for knee surgery since, Feb 14th. I have to let my lawyer & att's disability department work it out. I just don't like wearing a brace, every day.. TinaF1971, hang in there.
