Greetings, everyone! It's me, Tina! I have returned from beyond!

School has been very stressful. I was in PT twice a week for my knee, and then weekly counseling sessions for my mental health issues. I am on a short break, as PT has been ceased due to the fact that I cannot do any weight-bearing exercises and am waiting on a custom made knee brace. I also get three weeks off from my counselor as he is on vacation at a monastery (he is Buddhist, which I find very interesting). Still have the stress of school, but at least I am relieved of the other two things for a while.

I apologize for not catching up! I am waiting on vape mail, myself, rather impatiently! I hope that everyone is doing well, though!

My husband and I had our portraits done last month. We hadn't had them done in over eight years! I am including one of us, that I really like.

I've attached another one of us, comparing our current pic to our engagement photo. It's rather big and I don't want to take up too much space on here.

I hope that you are all having a great Tuesday! Take care! :)

my we have been a quiet thread lately, haven't we?
what have you guys been up to today?

i had a busy morning in downtown san diego taking care of some business
then the usual mom school runs/ pickups/dropoffs/ etc.
squeezed in emails and work for dv
(love, love, love working with eric, btw...amazing, authentic, generous....nothing you don't already know.)

took my son to lacrosse then shopped with my girls for halloween costumes
(8yr old plans to be a "fairy" bat ?? and the 10 yr old wants to be an evil vampiress !!)
teenager plans to go to homecoming dance in costume (all the kids are, i guess)
he wants to be the Brawny man!
so i am on the hunt for a red lumberjack shirt!!

huffington post had a bunch of hilarious costume ideas...50 shades of grey: guy dressed up in a bunch of HomeDepot paint samples!! with white and grey hair paint! too funny:

Huffington Post Clever Costumes

my parents flew in from the east coast last weekend, so we have been really enjoying spending time with them.
they adore our kids (their only grandkids) and the kids adore them
my dad's little sister passed away last week (79 yrs old) from a massive stroke
so we are really appreciating just having them here

funny how being reminded of our mortality puts everything into immediate focus.
suddenly all the little quirks and foibles are much easier to overlook.
that's one good thing about death, we get our priorities straight fast.

ree, i took a look at the fifth wheel you mentioned (bay hill?)...oh my goodness! those look beautiful!!! just amazing! with an rv like that, who needs a house?
reminded me of the rv they showed on HGTV that belongs to will smith

HGTV Celebrity RVs

now you got me thinking about rvs! ...
no, i think i'll stick with sailboats!!

my 14yr old is already asking if he can take a couple years off after high school to travel around the country...i backpacked europe and think he'd have a blast. did anyone here ever travel around the us or europe or elsewhere, either alone or with friends?

another fun adventure would be to do peace corps or other community building work. then there is always the service (the route my husband and i took)....all good for growing up.

just hoping we don't find ourselves with any 30 year olds living in the basement, playing xbox and on our phone plan!!! LOL!!

Hiya Cnew & other DV'ers!

Oh this new job has me so frazzled I just barely have enough strength for my "volunteer work" here. I'm sure it'll get better soon. I do read, just don't post like I used to. :( After 15 months "on vacation" after the layoff, I'm still not used to having so much to do and so little time!
