The ego twist 1000 is very long. I wish it was shorter and fatter like a Go-Go and I would like it much better.

I won a contest for a gift certificate from another vendor and used it to buy a 650mAh and 1000mAh twist. I agree, the 1000 is crazy long. lol I think the 900 that Eric is getting will be the best size.

LordDavon, are the batteries you have in your device IMRs? Can u PM me a link where you got them? I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks.

I have 3 sets. All are protected ICR. 1 set is Trustfire. One came with the Vision VV 350, and the other set with the V6. I would recommend getting the IMR batteries that Eric has. He has been using them in the unit.

I noticed blue utrafire 18350 1200mah batteries on another site. Has anyone tried these in the Ovale v8, do they fit. I had a bad experience with some AW IMR 14500 that just died on me after a few months so I'm exploring alternatives.

I ordered those because DV is out of stock, which sucks because I know DV's ship time will beat the other guys, the 1200 mah are 2mm longer than the 700mah IMR that DV has and at least 1.5 mm longer than the batteries that come with the V8 so it will be a snug fit at the least or may be just too long. You can give em a try or wait and see if they work for me and by that time Eric will prob have new stock in

So, the 900mahs that u have in your v8 in the video are ICR LordDavon???

The ones in the video are JFC18350's. I had TrustFire Black and Reds in it prior to the review, but they just barely fit in the device (you need to compress the spring completely, when sliding it in). When I tried prying them out, one of the batteries sparked. So, I tossed the batteries. They weren't a good match for the device though.

JCF18350's are generic batteries. I am sure they are some chinese knock-off of a chinese knock-off. I would recommend the AW IMR 18350 batteries. Their chemistry is safer than protected ICRs.

Yea, I am trying to decide wheter to get the AW 700mahs or the plain IMR 800mahs...I know some of you may have seen me post about batteries before, im sorry, just really indecisive!!! Do u think the 700s would give me sufficient enough battery life?? Im planning on getting 2 sets so I have a backup pair. Also, LordDavon, from what you have seen so far, does the v8 perform as well, better or worse than the Lavatube?

When it comes to Joye eGo the 900mah is the best imho. It lasts 10-12 hours regular use and it's not stupid long like you're Vaping from a drumstick. How about a 900 and a 650 to use as backup in case of loss or malfunction or if needed at the end of a day while the 900 charges. If the 650 or 900 twist were a passthrough it would be my next unit for work use no doubt.

I would pick the V8 over it. I like the size, the feel of it in my hand, and the overall openness of the draw. That's not to say that the Lavatube is bad.

As for batteries, don't worry too much about the listed mah. The cheaper batteries tend to list a higher mah, but usually test lower. AW IMR 700mah, is going to be closer to 700mah than many batteries. Ultrafire are known for listing their mah higher than they perform.

I completely agree! The 1000mah is so large, mine falls over all the time. The 650 is a good size. The 900mah is in between the two, and lasts just a little under the 1000.

I gave my eGo C Twist 650mah to my sister yeasterday, because her Riva 1100mah died. I tried giving her the 1000mah. but she wouldn't take it, due to the size. So, I got 2 more 650mah eGo C Twists today. I really like them.

Next, I am getting a 900mah, and then giving away the 1000mah in a contest.

The word is the battery needs to have a nipple to make contact and most IMR batteries have a flat top. Aw IMR are your safe bet. I think I ordered the wrong ones myself.
