I looked at the Octopus, but it seemed that half your juice would be stored in the wicks instead of getting to the coil. Do you like the Octo?
EDIT: I'm working with the AGA-T+ and AGA-T. Why didn't you like those? It might help me out:D

I can get them to work fine. I'm not so sure I like the vape, but I keep trying. I've been working between 1.6 and 2 ohms, but it seems that some juice does not like RBAs. I keep plodding through it and trying new things. I want to rebuild a Vivi head with the cotton and see if I like it (for now, I am not a Vision Vivi Nova V3 fan), and I hear that cotton can do very well in the IGO-L. I am working on getting a SmokTech RSST for the ceramic, I think the wick hole is large enough without modding it. I will have to start with wrapping the coil around the wick just to get a feel for it. I haven't tried any hot wraps, have watched some videos, but it just can't be as easy as it looks:) Those guys have practiced.

Actually its not that hard to hot wrap before you try it on a wick use a drill bit for practice that way you won't break your wicks. You might want to drop your ohms to about 1.1 to 1.4 on the rba's

Thanks. I have been using the Petar K/drill bit method some, and it does help. If you drop the resistance, doesn't that mean that the coil heats faster and could burn the juice more easily? I've read some about the really low ohm coils but haven't tried it.

With the 1/8 wick if you hot wrap it it won't burn but you will get some dry hits if you hold the button for to long now juice should be 50/50 or 70/30 vg/pg I was using 20/80 but was just to thin and cooked off to fast , ceramic wicks are cold and the added resistance helps to heat it up after it warms up you don't have to hit it as long

I finally made up my mind and purchased the aga-t, extra wire and mesh...in all my excitement..I totally forgot to get a stainless steel drip tip...sigh. I hope the aga-t doesn't frustrate me. But I have a local shop that is willing to teach me to set it up...all I have to do is bring it all in. Yahoo! Shame I have to work tomorrow....this will sit pretty on my vamo. :)

Luckily I vape 50/50, so I hope that part works out. I might hold the button for too long, tho:) I'm still waiting to get the RSST for ceramic. I don't have the power tools/workshop in my apartment for a drill press. But thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

If it helps at all, I did the same thing when I bought mine. The good news is that a normal 510 will work until you get your fancy one.

 Does anyone know what Lo and the ohm symbol means on the Vamo? I dropped it on concrete earlier and thought it broke. I only had my eVod with me with an adapter on it. I didn't use it for a few hours after I dropped it and when I finally went to use it, it looked a little wonky... The adapter looked bent, I don't know how to describe it, but its now giving me a Lo error message when I press the fire button and 0.0 when I check the ohms... I just got home a little bit ago, and put batteries in my Ovale V8 because I thought my Vamo had broken, but then I put a Protank on it and its working fine.... The same eVod and the same adapter are working fine on my V8...

The center pin got push in.. Since it is working on the pro tank, you probably didn't break the insulator gasket and just need to pull it up some.. Take a tiny flat head screwdriver and work it under the pin and lift it up and work your way around so that the whole pin lifts up a bit.

The protank seems to have a deeper center pin than the evod..

This can also happen if you tighten something to much on the Vamo and you can actually break the insulator..

Thank you. Yea I think the center pin got pushed down. I guess using an adapter on the Vamo can do that from what I've been reading. My Protank is the only thing that will fire on it. :( everything else gives me 9.9ohms when I check it. I don't even know if I have a flathead screwdriver. I'm not a tinkerer as my hands don't work very well. If I find one, I'm afraid to try it for fear I'll break it even more. If I buy whatever is necessary and pay for shipping, would anyone here be willing to try and fix it for me?

I would try if I really knew what I was doing. If no one else steps up to help you out, PM me. I'll do some reading on it in the meantime.:)

EDIT: So I went back and reread that thread...it's been awhile since I last looked at it. I had taken apart my SS Vamo to refinish it. I can see both the top and the bottom of the pin/insulator assembly. I could try the washer technique for you, but I don't solder (yet) so I can't do the full-replace of the insulator method. I would be willing to try the washer replacement method if you want me to give it a shot. I unfortunately can't make any promises but I think I can manage it.
