You can trust me Stoneys  I'll cut you hairballs off in good styles for you :D

:lol::lol::lol: I love you guys

Thanks for the smiles & laughs guys.

I'm a little down, as my kitty (Tabbytha) is not well, and I don't yet know why. She was limping for about a week (favoring her left front leg), otherwise no behavioral changes, but the last few days has begun sleeping more, not eating much, but still all happy about treats. I couldn't find lumps or sore spots on her (or she didn't complain/growl/hiss when I tried to find any). She still gets excited and scratches on her corrugated scratch board when it's treat time or dinner time, but doesn't touch dry food, and barely eats the canned she used to get excited about. Mostly she is sleeping in the bathroom on her cat bed now (not an abnormal spot, just an abnormal amount of time). She comes out 1ce or 2ce a day and jumps on the bed (she doesn't leave my bedroom - is afraid of the roomies and dogs, well anyone but me), and wants petting and food, which I give, but just isn't the same. She used to stay on the bed for awhile and groom and sleep if I was in the room, but not much now.

I was giving it a few days to see if it resolved since I'm unemployed & didn't want a vet bill if she was just being pouty b/c she jumped too hard or something. So, I was gonna call the vet today, but they closed at noon. :(

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text. Just wanted to say some of these posts were extra special to me today. :)

Sonic, I'm so sorry to read that Tabbytha is under the weather...is she still favoring the left front leg? It's interesting that she would scratch on her board but limp at the same time. Often a reduced appetite is an indication of not feeling well, but should be especially a concern when it lasts more than a week (although we used to have a cat that would eat herself tubby and then diet herself thin, the little weirdo). Some (understanding) vets will consult some over the phone, but if she is still favoring the leg your vet will want to examine her in person. I hope that Tabbytha feels better soon and you get some employment as well. Sending you good vibes across the netz...:thumb:

Hey LordDavon, long time no see! How r u man?!

Good morning everyone! I decided I better get out of bed to avoid the killer headache I had yesterday from sleeping to long!! :)

I am doing well. Thank you for asking. :)

The house is coming together nicely, and the office is about as done as I am getting it for a while. So, I am finally getting the camera warmed up, and seeing how a review records today. ;)

Aww Sonic:( I'm sorry that Tabbytha isn't feeling well. It's so stressful to have a furbaby who's obviously not feeling well. Is there any chance she's got a big hairball in her tummy---those can give a kitty a big bellyache, and be hard to pass, causing them to not have a great appetite. There is a great OTC hairball remedy at PetSmart; GNC Ultra Hairball Remedy, or at Walmart Pro-Pet Hairball Eliminator, each is available in several flavors. Its in a tube, and is thick and somewhat greasy, a lot of cats will eat it right up, mine wouldn't so I literally had to hold her mouth open and stick it in there, another option is to put it on their paws and they will lick it off cuz they hate having anything stuck on them.

Anyway, of course it's always smart to go to the vet, but realistically not always affordable...in those situations, which trust me I've been there and probably will be again...Google is very helpful, there's a ton of cat forums and veterinary help sites~~and you might be able to zero in on the problem just by googling all her symptoms and behavior.

Prayers goin' up for Tabbytha right now! ETA: Regarding the limp...I just had a thought, I know you said you checked around for lumps and bumps, but is there any possibility she's got matted fur up in her "armpit" area? The mats pull at the skin and can be very painful, so if she has one up there, it may be causing her to limp as she tries to avoid the pulling.

Sonic, i am also sad to hear your Tabbytha is not well. Google is a good start. My 2 dogs are doing a little better. I just think my older dog is jealous of the attention the younger one is getting. So this past week, I have been giving them both more love, attention. So far, much nicer to each other. I hope all have a great Holiday weekend. I am off to the beach today, taking the protank for a walk on the strand.

Somics, I so sorrys fer you Kitty so I asked my kat what to tell you in dis situations.

    She said.....t09134.gif....I dunno...
She stoopid tho so I wouldn't belieb her iffin I was you :laugh: Actually, this stray kat does the same thing. She eat like she's eating for a whole army for several days, can't get enough food, then all of a sudden she don't want anything and is finicky as all get out. Then she's go for only dry food, then she'll want only wet food. She a pain in da .... The other kat I had once had arthuritis in his shoulder and would limp sometimes but had all the strenght he wanted in that leg when he wanted something  So I do belieb that I have been no helps to you with all dis nonsenses but Kaleb told me to tell you this so I did cuz yesterday he said I had to listen to him or I'll neber eber gets a cookie :?:

    Thanks guys. :)

Zooker, I'll check the fur...don't think so, b/c she's short hair and strictly indoor, but ya never know so I'll check it (she hates being picked up or having her legs /paws touched, but she'll deal! :) ).

MM  tell your stray thanks anyway... I'll uh... check on that. Tabby hasn't been that finicky before, but now. She is using the litterbox too, so still acting (mostly) proper, so that's another reason I hesitate on the vet. As for the limp, maybe it's arthritis, though she's only 5-6 years old (was a stray too!)...I'm of course being paranoid fearing the worst, but hoping it's just a sprain or something (though highest jump in here for her is my bed to the floor - albeit hardwood, but still)...I checked her paw pads (was not easy  ), and between her toes and stuff thinking maybe something stuck there, but didn't see anything. Claws look intact. <sigh>

Kaleb - give the monkey a cookie! :D

Anyway, gotta go clean my bathroom for my roomies cookout guests in case it's needed... I'm then headed to my parents for our usual Sunday dinner. Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Good afternoon DV. I'm jealous of Crss and the beach, though the beach is not too far away from me...I could go get a Nathan's Famous hot dog this Holiday weekend...but then I'd have to suffer the crowds at Coney Island. Pish, I'll stay right here with you folks instead :)

Yeah, stay here. Coney Shmoney, what do they have that we don't? I do believe I have a pack of Nathan's in the freezer! 'Cept I'm makin taco pie for dinner!

Coney Island was so much more "authentic" when I first moved to NY...now it is much changed. Nathan's is now all-new since Sandy flooded it with more than 6 feet of sea water. I shouldn't complain, but the nostalgia gets the better of me sometimes. I will become the old cranky man saying "I remember when...." :)
