Tabbytha's unchanged, so I guess we're off to the vet tomorrow Always so traumatic to get her in the carrier and drive somewhere, scares the poop out of her....literally. Momma gave me some feline facial pheromone wipes that's supposed to calm them (rub it on inside of the carrier & on bedding, etc.). Hope that helps...we'll see.

I did have a cat once long ago that was a holy terror when it came to those kitty carrier things . He was a great car traveler IF I just let him sit on my shoulder on the back of the seat though . Has Tabbytha ever been loose in the car ? Maybe she'd ride better not so much stress ?

I don't trust her...afraid she'd poop on something! My last cat did that, and I swore to use the carrier from then on. The vet is nice enough to bathe them if they show up dirty. Problem though is it happens again on the way home sometimes & then I have to bathe her. Ugh. Though she's not a terror in the bath, but she does look pitiful when bathed.

Hope all goes well at the vet for Tabbytha Sonics, I'm sure it will be a relief to find out what the trouble is~~I'm praying it's something simple and easily treated. I've never heard of the wipe-thingys before, I'm interested in hearing if that helped or not. Good luck Tabbytha, we're all hoping you get well soon, and don't poop in Sonics car!!

Thanks Zooker My mom's vet gave it to her to use with her anxious cat in car trips. It's called Feliway. Sounds promising... here's hoping!

I'm a little down, as my kitty (Tabbytha) is not well, and I don't yet know why. She was limping for about a week (favoring her left front leg), otherwise no behavioral changes, but the last few days has begun sleeping more, not eating much, but still all happy about treats. I couldn't find lumps or sore spots on her (or she didn't complain/growl/hiss when I tried to find any). She still gets excited and scratches on her corrugated scratch board when it's treat time or dinner time, but doesn't touch dry food, and barely eats the canned she used to get excited about. Mostly she is sleeping in the bathroom on her cat bed now (not an abnormal spot, just an abnormal amount of time). She comes out 1ce or 2ce a day and jumps on the bed (she doesn't leave my bedroom - is afraid of the roomies and dogs, well anyone but me), and wants petting and food, which I give, but just isn't the same. She used to stay on the bed for awhile and groom and sleep if I was in the room, but not much now.

I was giving it a few days to see if it resolved since I'm unemployed & didn't want a vet bill if she was just being pouty b/c she jumped too hard or something. So, I was gonna call the vet today, but they closed at noon.

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text. Just wanted to say some of these posts were extra special to me today.

Good luck with the kitty, they can be very crafty at hiding an injury.
