Yup, Chocolate Chip Cookies for everyone!!! I am so annoyed right now, I still don't know if I passed my final. I left him a voicemail yesterday and have not gotten a response. If I didn't pass it, I'm supposed to come in to do a retake and grades are DUE on Friday! I'm telling you all, if I fail this class just because he is a {BAD GUY} and is irresponsible, I'm going straight to the Dean! I'm so ...... right now, I might schedule a meeting with the Dean regardless, after the grades are posted obviously. There is this website, ratemyprofessors.com and wow, he's got a lot of negative reviews on there!!!

Is there any way you could ask some one or even the Dean that you've tried to find out if you need to do a retake exam BEFORE Friday ?? Tell them you don't even know IF you passed or not yet ??? Do ya know if any fellow classmates have their grades back yet ?

I like Monkey Mama's suggestion. It sounds like you need an advocate that can play middle man for you, since you know that your "professor" is not professional or impartial. If your Dean is willing to be an advocate for you, then ask him/her to get your grade for you.

He isn't required to let us retake it, but he told us all he would. He makes his own rules. I'm not going to the dean til after I get my grade, for fear that if I tick him off, he will fail me regardless.

Wouldn't it be great if ALL teachers just taught, assessed, and assisted with the ultimate goal of producing the best possible outcome for the student? It seems to be a dying art these days, and the teachers who truly do care and put in the effort are being dragged down by the rest of them.

kaleb, I would bet he is making you sweat and not telling you because he knows you do not need to re-test. Contact a few classmates (especially the ones you think might not have passed) and see if he has already told them they need to go again. It sure sounds like he is just grinding your gears because of the dislike between you. If you did fail, and he lets the others re-test but not you, then go to the dean. Also, see if there is a student advocate already on campus. If there is, talk to them about your situation. And when this is all over and done with.......write your review on that site.

Its fine, I will find out soon enough. I don't have anyone's number in the class. I pretty much just kept to myself, the majority of the class was Culinary Arts students and they all seemed like there own little group, that wasn't accepting new members. That's OK though, I was only there for an hour a day. I got in and got out in a hurry!

No, he's making me sweat because he is EVIL. I'm convinced the only reason he works there is because he is greedy and gets paid a lot. He's the general manager of a local restaurant, (I've never been) that's really expensive. He talks non stop about the restaurant and has canceled class several times because he had to do something for the restaurant. He has also hinted that the owners of the restaurant are looking to sell it and I think he wants to buy it. Therefore, he needs both jobs, because he's paid SALARY at both, to be able to afford it. Its all about money with him.
