Sonic I too am keeping you and Tabitha in my thoughts and prayers today and because of your courage I picked a day for my Star. We chose Saturday because it's supposed to be warm and sunny and she loves going for walks in nice weather. I hope we have a nice breeze because she loves to stick her face in the wind.
We simply cannot afford the vet cost right now so my husband, being an old farm boy, knows how to put them down humanely. I hate the idea of doing it that way but I won't let her suffer because of my squeamish thoughts.
We're doing the right thing sweetie and I'm praying for peace, serenity and the ability to get through the grief process as painless as possible for you. :'(

I couldn't afford it either, having been unemployed for over a year. My vet is really laid back though, and will let me pay it out in installments, thankfully. So I'll get her back in a little cedar box with her name on it, and put it on the shelf next to her predecessor, Felicia.

Cedar is perfect! There are MANY magical qualities in Cedar as well! With Star we're going to bury her out back and I'll make a little tombstone or something... IDK... It's like all of a sudden she's acting almost normal and hasn't had a seizure since Monday... Shaking my head... My other dog, Missy, did this... She'd get all mopey then Star would have a litter of pups and she'd bounce around playing with them... I'm watching her like a hawk now and yeah she's moving really slow... We even had to give her a step stool to get in and out of her kennel. (the kennels are on a wood cabinet that my hubby made so I wouldn't have to bend over to let them out... This is the dog that used to jump through a hula hoop...

Hi everyone, I took a Lil break from the internet and I'm back now and all caught up on the thread! So sorry to hear about Tab by that Sonic. She's no longer hurting and her spirit will never leave you!
