That is very nice of your vet and a sweet idea. We had my Garfy cremated and I bought a little urn, online, with a kitty sitting on top of it and it had a slot for a picture of him. It wasn't able to be personalized, but we had a dog tag made with his name and his DOB and DOD. Tabbytha was beautiful and I'm sure she'll always be with you!

I couldn't afford it either, having been unemployed for over a year. My vet is really laid back though, and will let me pay it out in installments, thankfully. So I'll get her back in a little cedar box with her name on it, and put it on the shelf next to her predecessor, Felicia.

Sonic I too am keeping you and Tabitha in my thoughts and prayers today and because of your courage I picked a day for my Star. We chose Saturday because it's supposed to be warm and sunny and she loves going for walks in nice weather. I hope we have a nice breeze because she loves to stick her face in the wind.

We simply cannot afford the vet cost right now so my husband, being an old farm boy, knows how to put them down humanely. I hate the idea of doing it that way but I won't let her suffer because of my squeamish thoughts.

We're doing the right thing sweetie and I'm praying for peace, serenity and the ability to get through the grief process as painless as possible for you. :'(

I am sorry to hear, Ree! I think it's a sweet idea to take Star for a final walk with a nice cool breeze! I hope that breeze is there for her!

Our weather has been stormy since Saturday but it's supposed to be 80° tomorrow and climb to the high 90's and possibly 100° I'm dreading it and looking forward to it at the same time... Nice weather =decreased pain but I don't do well in high temps... I get dizzy and nauseous... Oh well it is what it is...
