We lost 19 Firefighters, the Granite Mountain hotshot crew, last night while they were battling the Yarnell Hill fire about 30 miles south of here. This same crew, the Granite Mountain wildland fire fighting crew, from Prescott had just finished mop up operations on the Doce Fire 8 miles from Prescott.

The lightning caused fire literally exploded yesterday in the high winds, low humidity, and abundance of fuel in an area that had remained untouched for over 10 years. Half of the homes in Yarnell (about 250) have been consumed by the fire which is now moving towards another community (Peeples Valley)

Please remember these firefighters and their families in your prayers.

It is truly a sad day for Prescott.

I heard about this on the news last night, what a horrible tragedy. I'm sorry that your community lost so many. :(

Good morning all...so sad to hear about the lives lost fighting the fires, sending up prayers for the families of those who died, as well as for all who've lost their homes due to the fire. :( Yet another reason to be grateful for every day and for what we have, and to not sweat the small stuff.

Sonic! Woohooooooooooo look at you all up and ready for work, kinda like the first day of school, LOL!! Hope your first day at work is awesome!

Looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July with a big family BBQ, however not looking forward to the fireworks that go on sale for a few days this week, many people around here have already gone to the Indian Reservations and bought their illegal fireworks, so there has been plenty of blasting going on around here for the last couple of days. Oh, lets not forget the ...... who are making their own things to blow up....plus it's very hot and dry here right now, not a good combo with fireworks, makes for a lot of tragic news stories, everyone stay safe!

Good morning all! Yup I just got up about 20 minutes ago and it's almost 11 am lol but hey I was awake till after 1:30 so I don't feel to bad since the last week I haven't had a full 8 hours sleep a single night! My hubby got up and got the dogs off to the groomer at 8... This is their first time at this groomer and I sent a typed paper with instructions since I used to be a groomer. Now the time will tell because I don't believe in keeping dogs all day long like a lot of groomers do so let's just see how long she keeps my old girls! Wow I can be kinda testy huh? :screwy:

When the oldest was a pup, she surprised herself when she first farted. After she cut the cheese, she looked back at her buttocks like "What was that?!?" It was hilarious!

My dog was having some digestion troubles a couple of months ago and would make these loud farts in the bedroom at night. He would scare himself and run out of the room. It was pretty funny.

Good July 1st to everyone. Sonic, happy first day on your new job...hope it is the best one you ever had.:)

Pajama Party at Tina's!! I hope there will be coffee and food. :p

I have Cappaccino (or however that's spelled). Hubby gave away our coffee pot. Guess I should go get some snacks, too, as all we have is meats...lol.

How's waking up at 3:15 PM for you? Hubby and I went to bed around 5 AM. He wanted me to wake him up at 9 AM so he could do yard work. I set my alarm on my phone, but I never heard it! Can't believe I didn't, because usually I am a light sleeper! Thank goodness my brother woke us up before he went to work! Ugh!

LOL! That is funny Urge! I can't stop laughing at that one! Animals can be so funny at times!

Still waking up, here, so I don't have much to say. I'm craving some caffeine from a Diet Pepsi or a Cappaccino, though! I'm too lazy to make the latter, so I guess I'll grab the Diet Pepsi! LOL! TTYL! :)

LOL my husband decided to play covered wagon with my little dog, Sprite, one night. Well the fart was exceptionally bad so after that if he let one out she would get this terrified look on her face and take off running. Rofl she did that for about two years but seems to be fine now.

Um, yes, well, remarkably we have the illegal fireworks in the concrete canyon too :( Unfortunately, they are usually ignited by total nincompoops who set them off in very stupid ways at terrible hours of the night in the middle and it echos through the buildings  I suppose I should be glad that they aren't gunshots, though :D
