keyzy, should the glv2 have an orange ball?:?: take that out of there is my guess:unsure: no, i don't think it should just drop down. use the ball and the allen screw in it just to work with tightening up the allen screw. i had to torque pretty good to set up my glv3 to finally work right. the only other thing i can think of is adjust the head on the carto instead.

I think the 4.8 batts are the a hair smaller than the 18650s so I wouldnt think they would fit.I cant understand why you arent getting power. Can you lower the post on the bottom of the carto to see if it will help?

and its silly but are you sure the batts that fit are fully charged?

The LifePO4 3.2v batteries measure 3.32v but I am charging them as I type just to see if that makes a difference but I really don't expect it to.

Since I'm not getting voltage to the carto connector, I haven't tried to pull out the pin on the carto but that will be next after the batteries are fully charged.

ya, that would be my first guess. That, and either Jay is doing the headcap of the glv2 differently, or you have a glv3 headcap:(

well, i don't have a glv2 but i've not heard of folks getting the orange ball with them, so that was what got me wondering. it could be that he is using the same headcaps for both now. the orange ball and exta allen screw either has to stay inside or it won't fire when not on the feeder for the glv3. the allen screw and orange ball also helped me to move that little black ring up in mine. It was not firing correctly until i got mine to move up a bit. i'd try it with and without the orange ball and allen screw in it, once you get that little black ring to inch up a tad. but, ya, try adjusting the carto first, as that's much easier.

OK unscrew the head cap and make sure the round brass looking thing is in the center where it will touch the top of the batt. Then take off the bottom cap and carefully stretch the spring a bit.

negative faces bottom and pos faces the headcap,I know you know that.

As you can see that brass ball is not centered and won't move without forcing it. That red thing is in the way. This could be the problem.

Mine has the orange ball and allen screw. What little black ring are you referring to?

when the orange ball and allen screw are out, do you see anything inside the threading?

I see a brown, what looks like plastic plate with a comma shaped hole in it and a metal something at the bottom of the thread hole. The metal something looks dead center at the bottom of the thead hole.
