that little plate i think is actually metal. that is what you want to have pushed up with the orange ball and allen screw

I've screwed the set screw as tight as I dare but it seems moot since I'm not getting any voltage at the carto connector. Right? Or do I just not understand?

I'm pretty sure the battery is hitting that rounds brass ball in the top cap because I can see a shiny spot on it.

no, the little plate needs to be up higher and then you should get a connection. it sounds like he has switched the glv2 units to have the same head cap as the glv3. did it come with instructions? you will need to keep the orange ball and the allen screw in to get it to fire as well, i think

No, it didn't come with instructions but they are on their website. I've read them and did what it said.

I got some new batteries today, 2 different kinds. Trustfire 16340 3.7v and they fit in the tube but don't work.
I also got some AW IMR 16340 3.7v 550mah red jacket and they work. Woo Hoo. The only problem is that they work too good. I'm getting 7.4v. I thought the 5v GLV2 was a regulated 5v PV. So why am I getting 7.4v. I'm having to use 5.0 ohm cartos to tolerate it. And I still don't understand why my RCR123a batts won't work or my blue jacket AW LiFePO4 batts don't work. I now have more batteries that don't work than do. Can somebody please explain why I'm getting 7.4v on a 5v regulated PV?

Ok, I've been testing different cartos until I've made myself sick. I can't seem to get consistent results. I tested with Boge SR and iKenVape SR and some taste burnt and feel like I'm breathing fire and others are pretty warm but not burnt but the flavor is gone. The only thing that I've tried so far that doesn't feel like I'm breathing fire and the juice tastes good is with hangdudes little mini sub tank. Oh, and a SR CE2 was warm and the juice tasted good. I hate CE2s and have trade most of them away. I have tons of Boge & iKenvape cartos but the vape is inconsistent. The ohms I've tested with were between 2.5 and 3.0 +/- .1.

I have a regulated 5v Gold Digger and when I put the screw on voltage meter on it, it reads 5v. Why wouldn't the GLV2 do the same?
