I think they are working on more important things...like darkened skins for the forum. Also, the little quirks that seem to pop up from time to time. *sigh*

You know if it was up to me.....I would do it in a skinny minute. Not sure what that means exactly.

'round here, we say, "In a New York Minute." What would that be in your language? "In a Snowbird Minute?"

I've made peace with the forum software.

The only thing I could ask for would be that darkened skin.

But it sounds good.

OK ..so I got myself a P3 Beta..and even though it has the very first (beta??) firmware and I got it with the intention of having it as a backup mode for the SXmini, in no time at all it became my primary vape and pushed back all my other mods!

So, being a P3 noob I have a couple of questions that I need help with:

1. Regarding the hardware, do I need to have anything change apart from the bottom cap and spring?
2. Bearing in mind that I rarely sub-ohm or drip and that my build is usually in the 1.2-1.5 range and my wattage is between 12-15 watts, do I need to have the firmware upgrade? Are there any improvements beyond lowering the lower resistance threshold to 0.5 ohms (which is irrelevant to me really given my vaping style)?

I'm asking because it would be a bit of a headache to send the mod from Egypt to Provape, and an even bigger headache getting it back. It's not impossible mind you, but it is just a pain in the .... and I have to do it through some friends living in the US. We did have an authorized dealer in Egypt, but he's no longer in business (this Beta version originally belonged to him).

Welcome to the Provari club. I'm sure someone that actually understands your post will chime in soon :D

I just know that when I want to vape, I push the button and it works. ;)

Not sure I understand your first question. As for the second question, I would say there isn't anything on the new software that would warrant sending it in for an upgrade from Egypt. The upgrades are mostly bells and whistles though some P3's had trouble with batteries draining too quickly which the new software fixed. I don't remember all the things the new software did but I recall they pretty much were all bells and whistles for us 1.2 ohm, 12 - 15 watts vapers.

Congrats on P3 :toast:
Here is a list of what has been added since Ver 31 Beta up to Ver 38. You can always just use it for a few days and see if you really need the updates

Thanks Bronze...I did have my doubts regarding the firmware upgrades. Regarding my first question, I read somewhere that in moving from the beta to the production version, the bottom cap and the spring have been redesigned apparently to reduce voltage loss. If that is the case, then I won't have a problem ordering the new bottom cap and a couple of spare springs online.

I see. Yes, I believe they beefed up the spring. That is much easier for you to swing by just ordering them. But have someone confirm this first because I am not 100% positive. Help someone???

How about a picture or measurement of your spring at the cap surface.

Thanks Robino...this is my 4th Provari actually, but my first P3 :) ..it's a great device to say the least...reliable, consistent and superior regulation quality. I tried many regulated mods and the Provari chip (as well as the Nivel chip used in the Semovar) beats them all ..the DNAs, the SXs...you name it

I bought this tactical vape gear bag in Army Green at my local B&M for $25 yesterday.
It holds 2 P3s with STMs, my Subox, an 18650 battery case & 2 30ml glass bottles.
It's about 8" long x 3.5" diameter and well constructed.
Awesome vape meet bag.

That's really cool, thanks for sharing. I know the specs say it is 8" long and you said it will hold 2 P3's. I'd like to know if it will hold a P3 with a tank on in the 18650 mode. Thank you.
