Well, it stopped at 4.20v and is staying there for now. Took about 3-1/4 hours to go from 3.55 volts to finish charge. I suspect a totally depleted 18490 (as defined by the P3) at .25 amp charge will take around 4 hours.

Give it some time to rest. It will drop.

You didn't see the Dancing around, Screaming like a little Girl .gif did you?

Was that for me? I thought it was for all the Xtars.

They said: Update? Sure! 20 Bucks.

I chuckled and said, I can send it and have ProVape return it for 12 Bucks...

To be continued.

That's absurd. Really. It took my vape shop, about 20 seconds to do the update. You remove the battery. You screw on the programmer. You tap something on the keyboard. 20 seconds later, it's updated. And if they give you any bull about the programmer costing a lot, it didn't. My dealer told me what it cost and they will make up the cost of the programmer in a couple sales. And I'm not talking about big sales. Heck, I went in just for the update. And walked out with $100 stuff.

Mine didn't die completely. One bay doesn't charge so well and the other makes odd noises. It was prolly a good thing getting a new, higher quality charger.

Some excuse RB. First time I heard that one. It's the fancy lights that got you.

I can't stand it. I need some anti-.......

Do what I do and look in the mirror. That always stops the urge.

I dumped a TV the last time I rented a roll-off. I won't throw this one away. I can't lift it, plus it was a housewarming gift from my step-dad. I'm hoping I can make room for it in my study, once I get rid of all the junk in there. I have lots of stuff I've never even opened (I tell people not to buy me things, but they do anyway) - the Gospel Mission is really going to make out this year.

TO, you do live near Reno don't you? Are you interested in taking in a old hippy transient who works for ejuice??

Agreed...

But, To close this up.

I offered to buy 20 Bucks worth of stuff, and I would pay only pay 10 Bucks for the update. So, The P3 Beta will be getting the update, and the P3 Ti will not.

We'll see how it goes...

No. I get more done by myself, although after I get a handle on the house I may hire some guys for the barns and to help me put boxes in the garage loft. The last time I tried to put stuff in the loft by myself it occurred to me that if I fell no one would hear me scream. I had the collies with me, but they are Border Collies. Despite their intelligence, they wouldn't give a crap if Timmy fell in the well and certainly wouldn't go get help. They would likely jump over my unconscious body and herd the goats into the garage.

This post should have come with a warning......I now have liquid spewed across my computer screen. You like my new battery charger reasoning? I thought the story was well thought out and particularly well executed. Yes I do!

Pound wise and Penny foolish, I'm tellin' 'ya! These retailers who want to charge to update will lose money by not making the update free and available to anyone who wants to come in their stores. My vape shop is offering the update free to anyone, regardless of where they purchased their P3. That's just plain smart of them.

Sorry for the delayed response. This is from November 2012, which in vape years is somewhere around the Mesozoic Era. This was to be the ProVari killer, although in reality the only thing it managed to kill was the Janty MiD (a tragic tale for another time).

ETA: Edited - it was posted in 2012, not 2014.

TO, do you write for a living? This is very funny. Even more so the second time through!

Mine died, I'm not sure about anyone else's.
Mine didn't die. I started thinking about what would happen if my charger broke. Thought redundancy might be a good plan ... Kind of like when I used to hide a pack of cigs, just in case. If that excuse doesn't work, I'll go with mob behavior :)

Write for a living...uh, no. I've always written, but the pay for articles now is just about the same as it was in the early '80s. I write to entertain myself.

There was a time when I had pretty steady work as a freelancer, but the money wasn't enough to balance out how it screwed up my taxes.
