Not likely, though I'm sure a Rad is in my future. How can I be the only kid on the block without the latest and greatest toy? Huh? How??
You wouldn't be :sneaky:

I'm still holding out.

But then they aren't out yet....

But, But, But......Let's see how long you can hold out after next Tuesday. Yes, let's see! LOL
I'm a stubborn girl. Have been since I was a little kid. The more someone pushes or nudges me...the less likely I'm to do what they want. Car dealers hate me. I'd rather walk then have a pushy salesman bugging me.

Just leave me alone to make a decision and I am more than likely to buy something. When I go to purchase something, I have already done the research and decided on what I do want. Very rarely do I make an impulse buy.

I will be sitting and watching and waiting for any developments after the Radius is released. Let the bugs and kinks get worked out before deciding.

Yes, I am a stubborn wench.

I should be more like you. But, Nooooooooooooooo, SR, is a "has to have the newest - early adopter" kind of guy. Yes he is!

I'm the one who has to have the newest Provari and updates, but to me anything above 20 watts is a waste of money. Now anything new in golf is money well spent.

I am the patient ProVape buyer ... last year I bought the P3 and the Ti mini on Black Friday, and didn't get them for 2 months until I picked them up in Florida.

I'm not buying the Radius until the updates work with Apple computers.

It's not like this on any of my other P3's they are uniform in colour, if anything due to the placement of the LED surely the bottom would be slightly darker.

All ProVari's have been like this. Like it's already been stated, the LED is not directly under the button, the button is. If you hold it a few feet from a wall, button facing the wall, you'll see the LED 'spotlight' focused by the button offset by quite a bit. That's something I noticed with my ProVari v2.5 and once I figured out why, it didn't bother me.

Since all ProVari's are like that, the difference you might think you're seeing is likely due to the button being brand new, which is "rough" or "sanded" looking, but after a bit of use, the button wears down to a shine. Take another look...

That's fine, but it's like saying you don't need a car that can go more than 65MPH because you never exceed the speed limit. Do you waste your money on cars that go over 65MPH? :) You don't HAVE to drive faster, just like you don't HAVE to use more than 20W, but some of us will appreciate the extra performance.

I've had 7 provari's and now 4 P3's, none are like this, if they were I wouldn't have noticed it on this one.

Hard to show it in a picture properly, but I'm well aware of how the led is placed, I've had provari's completely apart and polished them before. I'm not fussed by it just wondered if anyone knew what was causing it.

I would drop em (ProVape) an email...

They will resolve the issue.

They want you to be happy with your purchase!!!

Too true in regards to Provape, that's why I'm not bothered bud, It has a year warranty so im not too fussed I know if it does end up being something iffy they will sort it out, plus it's for the mrs and she won't even notice it!

I actually bagged another P3 for her today in white, brand new for £79.99 in the closing down sale, well it would be rude not to at that price!! now she already has a backup P3 lol

Fair enough...

But, I really don't think it has any wires long enough to block the led.

Just a guess, Jim

Yep, checked on both - no wires :)

Cheers bud,
What ill do to show I'm not some sort of mentalist o_O is take some pics of the 2 side by side when I get a moment.

Failing that I'll do a little video, it's strange at the point where it goes from light to dark there is a very thin line of rainbow coloured light, that you can see on the white light. You can sort of see it in the pic I posted earlier like it's reflecting off something shiny. Im dying to whip it open just because I'm intrigued but it will ruin my warranty.

Haha and as I'm writing this I spotted a reply :)
I posted provape a quick message and they said on some devices you can see the edge of the light which casts a shadow, or it can be caused by the button plastic being thicker (it's not the button as you can spin it and the dark side of the moon :) stays in the same place) so I guess the led is just seated a bit high or low.

In true Provape style he said if it bothered me they would happily sort it out  but I'm happy with it, the zenkote gun metal is very nice indeed!
Cheers for your input folks

My Mrs gunmetal P3 just arrived, beautiful finish, to me it looks more purple than anything but according to friends and family i'm colour blind, i'm sure she will love it.

Has any one experienced when the button is lit up that half of it is darker than the rest? seems to change if you spin the button, dark patch stays in the same place at the top but gets bigger or smaller :?:? Tried to take a pic

How did you make the button light up without pressing it? I stop pressing and the light turns off.

If you go to select the led colour it just cycles through all the colours twice on its own, then you've got to pray your cameras auto focus kicks in quick enough to take a shot before it stops ;)

Here's a pic of the insides. No wires. And we don't expect any, cuz it's a P3 :) It's a senior Black, about 10,5 months in use.

Now, for the button:. Here's a pic of that Black one and a much younger Ti. See the difference? The Black has a worn button, wor, round and polished. The new one, alhough now used for a few months, doesnt show any usage signs. I dunno, maybe the materials are different. I've used the Ti mostly after I got it in June.

So maybe it's just the button :) The plastic, as they say.
Don't be so worried, please.

I love the barely noticable rattle of the older P3s button, the softer press. The Ti has a new, a bit stiffer button.

P.S. Yes, the Black has seen things ;)
