Hey Mtek, fancy seeing you here :)

I have a question for you all. I tend to over think things and worry, thats me.

I have a few older atties that have 510 air intakes. They produce a lot of condensation. On my mechs I can take the top pin all apart and drain any errant liquid. From a bad experience with a past mech that had a press fit contact, do you all think it will be a problem in the future? I dont want all that mess going into the top contact and into my circuits.

I want this to be around for a long time. I hope I explained myself correctly.

I'm having a difficult time envisioning what you're describing, but I know that personally, if I had liquid (condensation) dripping directly into the 510 Pin on my P3, I wouldn't use the atty. I use a kayfun Like + on my P3. The air intake adjustment screw is on the bottom side of the KFL. Condensation does get on the bottom and the surround on the top of the P3, but NOT inside the 510 Pin top of the P3.

I hope others who have something similar to what your describing will chime in.........

Well, its not like it drips out from the 510 connection, but it does build up. I vape a LOT. WHen I take the top contacts off my GP mechs I can see liquid inside. Of course its not sealed but I like that because one can really clean thoroughly.

I guess what I should have asked is the Provari have a good seal to keep any liquid from getting inside the circuit. Im sure we all have had those atty accidents. I never worry with the mechs cause I can just wash them.

you have nothing to worry about ... it's sealed and tested.

some of my Provaris are 4 years old and work the same as a new Provari.

If you're referring to just a little moisture and not a flood, you really have nothing to worry about. Your P3 is sealed extremely well. There really isn't a safer better made regulated system out there. Really!

Great, thanks for your assurances. I do tend to worry about things.

I could not pass up sharing this. I swear for an old gal like me , who would think that at least once a day there is a Family Guy scene that pops in my head.

Okay, If blurb is a real word, I guess the bottom line is I need to send my unit(s) in for updates??

"Blurb" is a real word, although jwbnyc's use was colloquial, rather than definitively accurate. Kenny was providing information without a distinct promotional tone, therefore "the specifications in your description need to be updated" would be more correct, albeit less convivial. Blurb | Define Blurb at Dictionary.com

As far as the update, I think it depends on you're vaping preference. I, for example, am not going to upgrade at this point, since the new features wouldn't improve my enjoyment enough to part with my Precious Thrice for a week.

Just to add to what the others have posted: When I first got my 2.0 mini I used to drip with 510 and 306 attys. This was before there were sealed attys or RBAs. It could get messy, but my 2.0 never threw an error code and is still going strong. On the other hand, Bobo (Zmax) will throw an error code if it gets too wet. He has no damage either, but is a little more fussy.

It appears we are being formal, this morning :).
You needn't send in your P3s, but you may want to do so. If your builds tend towards .5 ohms and if the P3 is your preferred device, the update is warranted. If not, you may prefer to forego the angst that invariably accompanies being without one's precious. The remaining enhancements were of little importance - at least, to me.

(Now back to colloquial English :))

Mornin', all!
