I see no change.
Then again, I always carry spares.

R

It may be more of a perceived difference, due to the P3 using an estimate of remaining battery life as opposed to V under load.

I much prefer being able to read V under load and then making my own estimates as to how much longer a battery is likely to last.

I hope they add that back in on one of the future updates.

Why do I feel like that kid who counts to 100 playing hide and seek, only to find out all of the other kids, instead of hiding, went to the pool?
Nah. Ping & RB know you are more clever than some of us. They knew you'd find the thread easily - whereas they also knew that I might not!

Add it back? They never had...did they?

Was I wrong in thinking the the ver38 update also corrects the short battery life issue?

Here is what ver38 does:

The following changes were implemented in Version 38:

Support for .5 ohm tanks - The P3 now supports tanks at .5 ohms.

Low Battery Alert - When the device gets down to 18% left in the battery, the light will slowly flash yellow to alert you that it's getting low.

CheckAll (1 second) - The CheckAll feature now has the option to set it to 1 second. This allows for a quick look at your settings without leaving the display on for 5 or more seconds.

Battery Filtering - We have added some additional battery filtering to help with some problems reported by users saying the battery was empty when there was still energy left. Having the new spring and making sure all your connections are clean and tight is still what will fix this, but extra filtering will also help.

Various bug fixes

Money Saved Counter - This new feature allows you to set the price of a pack of cigarettes and the P3 will keep track of: How many cigarettes avoided, puff count, and how much money you have saved on cigarettes, based on the amount you set per pack. Every time you vape, this will keep track of your stats for these categories.

"Blurb" is a real word, although jwbnyc's use was colloquial, rather than definitively accurate. Kenny was providing information without a distinct promotional tone, therefore "the specifications in your description need to be updated" would be more correct, albeit less convivial. Blurb | Define Blurb at Dictionary.com

As far as the update, I think it depends on you're vaping preference. I, for example, am not going to upgrade at this point, since the new features wouldn't improve my enjoyment enough to part with my Precious Thrice for a week.

P.S. Welome to the thread!
Well, I have added a tank recently. Since 2009 I used the drip method; would that make a difference? Thanks for the kind response.

No futon but a very nice couch!

Sure beats DP lumpy futon in January.

Trying to get rid of me already, I see...

Call it a senior moment.

Not me. It was "THEM!" LOL

Sure blame someone else.

Done.

And my money's on Fran, just for the record.

What? Ain't ya's never seen a ghost before? Jeez...

I forgot it might be DP or Kat as the winner... Keep on posting.

Some did have the battery issue. I sent mine in so I wouldn't have to latter.

I didn't get a message that they moved either. :sneaky:
But I do know how to find you all

I knew you would find us and to be honest I hope you're the only moderator that will. Welcome Robin.

Funny my SS P3 flashes ar 18% and my TI P3 flashes at 15%. If I were RB with OCD I'd be in panic mode. BTW order my new VP 2 charger thanks to the Blackhawks winning.

You know what? My P3 with ver38 blinks at 18% too. And guess what? My OCD didn't got into hyper-drive. Dunno' why? But it didn't.

Welcome to the new kids who got Xtar VP2's on the block club!!

Funny you should say that... I got back from WVA last night about 10PM, and noticed that there were no posts after 2PM. Being that it was a Saturday, without even noticing the thread was closed, I just went back to ProVape and saw the Part 2.

How very logical and stuff! I kind of did the same thing. I didn't see that Ping had sent me a PM, but I did notice I couldn't respond to any posts in the thread, so I thought either:

1. I'd done sumpin really wrong and was HB'ed -OR-
2. Remembering the subject was brought up earlier that the first thread had gone over 15K posts, I just looked for a Part 2

And the rest as they say is history!

Btw, about that inquiry I wrote in the old thread - placed an order at ProVape for 2x P3 Ti (no, only 1 is for me), and wrote a ticket informing the guys about that card payment issue I think I could have. Let's wait now for the morning to come.

Hey, I was out and trying to navigate via my iPhone. Don't go gettin' all hurt and stuff. I saw your PM when I got home and logged into the forum, but by then, I'd already figured out the thread had morphed into Part 2.

I always keep tabs open on my iPad and just hit refresh. I thought it was weird there weren't any new posts. I ain't saying how long it was before I stepped back to check the forum for a new thread. Nope. Ain't saying.
