TERRIBLE BATTERY PROBLEMS ON MY P3'S=what could be wrong ?

Hi Everybody :)

Im having terrible battery problems on all three of my P3's....

BRAND NEW batteries are consistently giving me very bad/low IQ readings and are lasting barely an hour or two!

Over the past month and half I have purchased 8 new batteries from different vendors.I have paid these full price(15$) and have avoided purchasing from " discount" shops or anywhere that could presumably be selling bad counterfeits...(as best as I can tell..But who knows really ?).

I have a 4 slot Xtar XP4 charger,supposedly protected against "overcharging".

I have bought mainly AW IMR 3.7v 2200 mAh 20A batts, but also tried the AW IMR 3.7v 3000mAh 's as well as the green SAMSUNG 25R
All are 18650's .

Today I received my latest purchases, two new 18650 AW IMR 2200 's from yet another dif store .
I also purchased a brand new charger, in case the problem lay there : the new one is a Nitecore Digicharger D2, 2 slot "intellicharger"

I immediately put it into one of my P3's -I have 3 P3's that I keep going all the time/at the same time with different flavors + a Radius. All have Kabuki tanks on them.
I immediately got a "POOR" IQ reading of 34 IQ and battery at 83%.

I decided to charge it completely before using. When the Nitecore charger showed fully charged I put it into my P3 and got a 42 IQ and 86% batt reading....

Over the past few weeks all my IQ readings have consistently shown as POOR or even BAD (IQ 15).
This is with having purchased EIGHT new batteries since DEC 1 st.

The fourth element in my "rotation", my Radius, is doing fine .It came with a pre-installed battery that I havent removed and have just been charging via the USB cord.ONE CHARGE lasts me 24+ hours!

When I go out I use 8month old Eleaf Isticks 30W,if used alone-I usually only take one with me so will be puffing on that one only- they will last me about 4 hours...

I have cleaned my threads and inside of P3 tubing with qtips and 90% iso alcohol .This helped slightly but I still get POOR and even bad IQ readings, and my batteries only last me an hour or two .

Im going crazy recharging them all the time (thank God I work at home and CAN !)

WHAT could possibly be wrong ?

The P3s are all NEW-ish (first one from July-replaced by Provape in OCT because of prob-, second one from beginning NOV and third one from end NOV.All purchased from different shops (dont think there's a prob with the P3's though...)

Id appreciate any help/ideas/suggestions anyone can give me at this point...?

=This situation is driving me nuts and after buying so many new batteries, even dif batteries from different shops and buying a brand new charger (the "old" one was only a year old and working fine) I just dont know what to do /try anymore ??????
(sorry for the long post)

Sir Rod has a blog with details on cleaning and lube that might contain a tip or two you might have missed in your maintenance.

rbrylawski's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

Also, don't forget to stretch out the spring a bit. I've found that to be quite important in getting accurate readings of battery and IQ.

Man! They went fast...bet there will be another run.
I wrote to Provape about it about a week ago...They said they had no info.... that it was meant to be a one-time deal... and there were no plans as of yet....but to check in in a couple of weeks to see anyway.....

Just checked in this thread as I sometimes forget to. Yes, Tearose gave you the right advice. And the first thing I would have suggested based on the issues you're having, would have been to stretch the spring. It get's compressed after multiple battery changes daily, so make sure you stretch out that spring (more than you might think you should). And make sure you do read my blog on the proper care, cleaning and lubing of threads on your P3. You should be just fine.

just wanted to UPDATE a bit...

Stretching the springs out has made a huge difference :it hasnt totally erased the problem (still getting some pretty bad IQ readings :( )but its a whole lot better, extremely bearable now
Getting barely an hour or so out of a new battery was driving me crazy ;) now the same fully charged batteries are lasting a totally acceptable time.

so Thanks again :) :) :)

Funny how such a little thing could have made such a difference!
