Me too. IMHO for mouth to lung -- they are the best.

I also find my Kabuki's very easy to fill...now that the o rings have softened up with use. No need for even a paper towel as a gripper.

I do have to watch one of the "grub screw" pins on a 510 version as it seems to stick a bit to some connectors and protrude when removing the Kabuki.
Is yours protruding to the point you can take it out with your fingernails? Mine, I don't even need the tool to take it out & if I'm not careful it can fall out & I wouldn't know it was missing.
My plan was to contact Zen today but had a horrendous meeting with my g*d & her therapist- didn't go well & I'm emotionally wiped out.

Zen isn't kidding in his description when he notes that the OMG rings are a tighter fit. I had installed a set on a 510 Kabuki in an attempt to color code the tank but they were so tight I finally got tired of the effort in just filling the tank. I realized that I needed to be extra careful when I was changing them back to the standard black, but that caution didn't help much.

After 10 minutes of trying to get the tank off the top section I finally cracked the quartz in spite of my efforts to go easy - and the tank at that point had not moved even a single millimeter. It was pretty much there to stay.

However the smoothest tank I own (which opens with almost no effort) is one I got from Mt. Baker with the blue o-rings.

I have found the new silicone rings he offers to be a perfect fit. They are a pleasure to use right out of the box and fit both 510 and P3 equally well.

@ScandaLeX It did nearly come out and also fall out using one Mod, thee Mod which is now deemed the I Shall Not Use My Kabuki With You Mod due to the repeat offenses to my Kabuki grub screw, but not since.

I have 2 510 Kabuki's -- and I haven't noticed if the looseness is the same with both--tho I suspect it's my first one being a bit more ornery. Sometimes the pin/grub screw comes out about one turn all on it's own-- and I rewind with my finger just using a little pressure. I'm sure, once it is protruding I could do the same to remove it. I found that technique works for me better than trying to pinch with my style of longish rounded tip nails or removing the hex thingy's from their safe keeping spot. ;)

I also bought spare grub screws about a minute after they were offered at HOH, for the overfilled "back-up" parts box.

Fabulous. I've been hoping someone would mention their experience with them. I recall reading that they should be easier than the earlier rings....and now the description just says work for all Kabuki's.

I also find filling my Buki's to be a piece 'da cake, but I still use a paper towel as a grip. Not because I can't open it without the towel, but because the air hole being at an angle, has a tendency to cut into my skin. The paper towel eliminates that as an issue.

Some of my Kabukes can be opened with bare flesh, but like you, I really am not anxious to repeat the cuts on the inside of my forefinger. I still have a slight "K" shaped scar...

So I use a nitrile exam glove. Works perfectly!

I think my problem is related to the (thicker) OMG! Rings that I have elected to use. Because, you know, I am NOTHING if not "fashionable".

I need to use the wrench, each and every time.

You ARE the king of hawt couture. Or is that hat couture. Or is it even couture at all. SO konfused now.

I've been a follower of the Kabuki thread in this forum for quite awhile. After experiencing the KabookBliss, and with much hemming and hawing, I finally pulled the trigger on my first ProVape product. On Wed I ordered a Blem GMZ P3 for the unbelievably low price of $159. (It's still on sale BTW). It's due for delivery on Monday, and for the first time I can ever remember, I want a weekend to FLY BY at warp speed!!! I haven't ever felt this excited about vape mail. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. Anywayzzzz..... Anyone here with the GMZ version that can speak to the durability of this finish? I realize that @Zen~ has a proprietary coating process, but the only GunMetal finish I've seen in the past was on a Vamo. The durability of that finish was, shall we say, LESS than stellar.

I believe, in fact I am certain, that you will be pleasantly surprised with the results. The Vamo it is NOT.

Congrats, and good luck!!!

I've never owned a Vamo, as I'm not really a fan of substandard quality, but I've seen pics of some pretty severe wear of the GunMetal finish. I do love the form factor of a 22-23mm tube mod though. I've got a couple of mechs that fit the bill, but I reaalllyy wanted a quality regulated tube mod. Quality and Vamo are rarely uttered in the same sentence...

Congratulations. I won't share your hope the weekend goes by in warp speed (though they seem to anyway), but I hope Monday comes soon for you. I think from all I've read, you'll be beyond happy with your GMZ and the P3 is simply a wonderful device!

The Zenkote finish is almost as hard as a diamond. Very durable, here, watch Zen explain it to Pbustardo and see him show an attempted destruction test of the finish:

it's really tough!

Holy CRAP!! I won't be taking a grinder to my P3, but judging by that, I'm guessing it's a pretty resilient coating.

Zencote is very, very good. I have a gold 2.5 and a gun metal Kabuki which are finished with it. I don't drive nails with my stuff but otherwise take no exceptional care with them. Both the items are still flawless, without even so much as a surface swirl in the shine. It is my finish of choice but unfortunately is not used on very many pieces.

I think you'll be very happy. I was looking at the same mod you bought but my purchases elsewhere shot my budget for the month (year/forever..)

I agree, the silicone orings make it super easy to disassemble the tanks now. Maybe too easy. With the clear ones, I can't even hold the tank by the glass while filling, as the top cap just drops off. I have to remove the drip tip, set the tank down on a hard surface to fill, then screw the bottom on. On this particularly Kabuki, I was having a hell of a time getting the tank off with the standard buna rings. I was having to use an old gift card to wedge between the glass and the rim of the cap and slowly pry them apart until getting past the oring.

I will echo what Geezer has already stated... the GMZ finish is solid. I have it on a Mini 2.5 and on a P3. The 2.5 gets carried around in my pocket with my keys quite a bit and so far has not scratched at all. If anything can be complained about regarding the finish, it is shiny and shows fingerprints. But really, it is so dark, it is not noticeable, nor does that matter much anyway.

Andy, just another 2 center here chiming in. The ZenKotes are beyond beyond wonderful. Scratch resistant AND gorgeous. It's difficult to name a "favorite" Provi, but the ZKs and the Ti are right up there at the top.

I've got the GMZs and the Gold. Spectacular finishes. Yummy, in fact, and tho a TINY bit of fingerprints may occur, a swift and rare brush of a micro cloth, and bam, brand spanking new again.

Just by the way, along my vape path, I owned a "gun metal" Vamo. It was only the NAME of the color, and certainly not the finish. It started wearing very badly -- very quickly. Zero comparison.
