I have a possibly related question re: a P3 with v. 40: I can set the display scroll speed to something other than the default value, but within a few minutes I find it is back to 2. Am I the only one having this issue?
Are u in Auto mode or Manual mode?

If I have to update this P3 one more time...

I will have spent 65 bucks on updates. (not to mention the 269 I paid for the mod.)

?!?

I'm with u. I've now stocked up on 8 P3's (sounds crazy, I know, but I tend to misplace things, and I have 4 in rotation at any one time), so it is getting very expensive to do upgrades.

I have never bothered to upgrade any of my P3' from Ver. 38 firmware. They all work fine for me, so in my mind, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Do we lose percentage on this update?

What about V?

Thanks.

I recently purchased a new P3 and it's updated to the most current firmware.
It has no battery percentage unless you click through the menu (where you find the IQ), and it does not have volts...or I just haven't attempted to switch it to volts yet.
Don't quote me on that cuz I am not sure.

All my ver. 40's have volts.

^^^ When you're in the watts up/down adjustment menu, it switches from watts to volts after a few seconds if you don't push another button (as though you were checking IQ).

PS - it's late here so I hope this makes sense. [emoji23][emoji23]

I am done with Provape!
Got a new P3 some months ago.
From beginning on it switched off with about two thirds full batteries.
Opening and closing restarted but only for a few puffs.
Provape sent me a new spring, which didn't change anything.
Told me to go to a local dealer so I Went to a shop in Vienna, where they told me an update might solve the known problem.
My P3 could not be updated, Also not in the second shop updating Provari's in Vienna.
Left my Provari (approximately three months old] in the shop to check it.
After a week I was told they have to send it back I should come to pay 30 euro for that. I would get another invoice then from Provape. Could be around 75 bucks for repair as to their experience Provape hardly ever accepts problems as guarantee. postage back I would have to pay in any case.
ridiculous for a brand-new device. I was absolutely furious and told the shop to Trash the .....

Replaced it with a Dicodes Dani extreme. Two years full guarantee including free postage in case of problems.
Plus temperature control for all possible wires and full bunch of other options for even little less money than a provary.

So as I said at the beginning: I am done with Provape.

A P3 has a one year warranty. I had a similar problem with a Radius and they fixed it AND paid for all shipping to and from Canada.

Are you sure your dealer isn't a m0r0n? Never heard of an authorized dealer not being able to do an update any more than a dealer telling a customer that a repair would cost almost the price of new device.... before Provape even looked at it.

Sorry, Something isn't right here.....

It's really too bad you feel that way.
It's even worse that you didn't read or ask about your warranty, which is a one year promise for the device to be defect free, or else they'd repair or replace as necessary.

I agree. This transaction did not go down as it should have.
But, as the OP stated, the device has been trashed and replaced by another brand.

You should have stayed in contact with ProVape directly ... not only would they have made things right for you ... they would have addressed the issues you were having with one of their product vendors.
