Ive bought 2 wire welders and both did not work well, Found later from the makers that they were not designed for wire more than 32g. I was trying to use 30g. ...... me off because I asked the seller/sites if they were fine for joining 30g kanthal to 34g nick and both said SURE, buy it. :)

Well, I have added a tank recently. Since 2009 I used the drip method; would that make a difference? Thanks for the kind response.

I meant your preference for resistance (the P3 upgrade allows for lower) or if features like a puff counter/money saved record and low battery level blink were important to you.

I don't believe the change to a tank would change how long the battery lasts between charges. But, it could be changing your style a bit -- longer draws or something where you are actually firing longer, that would do it.

Using lower or higher ohm coils can make some difference, but it's above my pay grade these days to talk of such.

I haven't noticed much difference in time between battery changes between the 2.0, 2.5 and P3 though I seem to recall that the P3 was projected to be a bit better (longer life between changes.) As all ProVari's monitor the battery, keeping the contacts clean (that little brass square in there) and routine cleaning maintenance does make a difference in what the chip is reading. Perhaps your mini's just need a good cleaning.

One possible advantage of "upgrading" to a P3, one can use flat top batteries, if they like. There are now plenty to choose from that are considered OK for vaping, especially in 18650 size. Some will give longer life between battery changes.

I was looking at the Diver about a year ago (still using carto tanks here), but the builds looked difficult. All the tutorials I was finding showed that you had to use non-resistance wire attached to resistance wire, and that just seemed to be way too much of a hassle to me. Has that changed, or are there other carto-style attys that fit into tanks that are easier to build?

Yes, I know, I should just get a KFL and be done with it! :D

Yes, yes you should! I was a die hard holdout for the Kayfun. I wasn't ever going to build no stickin' coils and premade coils for the Kanger/Nauty's were good enough for me. Then I finally broke down and bought a KFL+ a few weeks ago. Followed almost instantly by a Russian 91% and I must admit I was not prepared for how fantastic these things are. The coils are pretty easy to build and wick. And the flavor? Well, the flavor just can't be beat. No it can't. So yes, you should just get a KFL and be done with it!

Yes, yes I should! Perhaps when I get situated back in the house in a couple of months I'll invest in a KFL+, and maybe a V4 (P3 threaded) along with some good tools to help with me with the coil winding. I'll probably wait for the V4 to come down a bit in price though, which should happen right around the time the V5 comes out. :)

I believe it is a kayfun with a bell cap.

Kayfun with Bell cap? Hard to guess, so many bell caps now for so many of the popular atties

It looks like a Kayfun with a bell glass top. But I could be wrong.......
I hear ya all, but those circled spots and especially the circle with the arrow just throw me off.

-No steel chimney
-Build deck visible
-That extra piece of steel ring above where KFL air holes would be

It just makes me scratch my head! Thumbs up for the unique factor!

Sorry about the little Facebook chat floater that I just noticed - haha

I believe the chimney is part of the bell cap, so it is clear as well.

I did notice that extra section at the base.

AT will be along to tell us.
