RB, you probably know this, but .. just pretend you don't see Emi, let her come to you. Sit still and slowly slide a hand or toe a little closer to her to let her sniff. I used to sit on the floor by the couch, knowing the cat was under it. Eventually, she'd come out and start exploring me. I didn't move much while she did this until she let me know she was ready for a soft (one finger) pat. To this day, friends who make noises or move to pet my little one scare her into hiding, those who ignore her eventually get a leg rub greeting. Only the chosen few are allowed to pet her. LOL.

If I had ANY clue where Emi is hiding, I'd do that. She has found a place but we don't have a clue where. We did find an opening in the kitchen cabinets at floor level and she could have gone in there, but she's not making any sounds at all. I saw her for 2 seconds this morning when I got up, so I know she's in here somewhere. I just have to hope she comes out sometime soon.

That's scary, isn't it - for both you and little Emi! Fortunately, hunger will bring her out of hiding. I'm sure she has the normal cat preservation instinct and she'll be wanting food soon!

Just keep an eye out, and ears open for tiny mews, just in case she squeezed herself into a "pickle" of a spot. Im sure her sister will seek her out. Get some stinky wet food or sliced turkey or chicken.

Isn't hide-and-seek the favorite game of cats? I've only had 3 cats in my lifetime, but they've all played that game with me. You go looking for them, searching every known nook and crevice in the house for 30 minutes, and then come back to the room you started in and they're in the middle of the floor. They look at you like they've been there the whole time, and you're crazy for not seeing them before now.

It's just another way they establish dominance over they're humans. :D

I've got stinky food all over the place. We've not heard a peep from her, which concerns me.

This is different. It's a scared barely 12 week old kitten.

RB, once you find her, can you temporarily confine her to 1 room for a few days? She'll get comfortable in that space before moving out into the rest of the condo. It will become her safe room and where she'll run to hide. That's what was suggested to me with our little one and it seemed to work. You visit and spend time in there with her so she gets used to you too. I kept a litter box and water in there and brought food on her regular feeding schedule. We gradually gave her run of the house. I had to repeat this same cycle when we took her on vacation to the family cottage in VT.

Remember too - the babies sleep a lot so if she's not making noise, she could be napping! I'd bet on her sister reacting and helping to find Emi if she was in distress.

They were confined to the laundry room where the kitty litter and food and water is located. I opened the door for a few minutes this morning and that's when she disappeared. I'll just have to believe her survival instinct will kick in and she'll come out from hiding........

You're right Sir Rod. She'll hide herself for a couple/few days and then she'll be out and about once she acclimates to all the new sounds and smells.

Thanks Bronze. I have to believe she's OK and will come out from wherever she's hiding.......
Yep, when she's ready. Her curiosity will draw her out. You know how cats are.

She will probably be exploring at night while y'all are asleep and you wont even know it.

We got a kitten back in the mid 90's from the local shelter. Didn't have one of those kitty cages so she went loose in the truck on the drive home. She hid herself somewhere up in the dash board and didn't come out until the next day. Oh well.

Man am I in a fix! I took my classic and one of my K4's and put a new coil and wick on it, but then the Classic was saying that the resistance was too low so I tried to take it off the Classic, now the 510 adapter and beauty ring are stuck on the 510 connector of my K4. I've tried using a coin to loosen the 510 adapter, actually wound up bending the penny I was using, but it was a no go.

It was a good thing that my other K4 has the P3 base on it, so I just used the 510 base from that one along with the 510 adapter and beauty ring from the P3 and got my other mod back in service again. So now I have a K4 510 base with a P3 510 adapter and beauty ring stuck on it, any suggestions on how I can get that apart?

Something similar happened to me. I put the KFL+ in the freezer for awhile. Then, I ran the "male" half under very hot water for just a few seconds, so that the metal would expand. It unscrewed -- but I did find that I had to be quite gentle. For some reason, trying to turn the two bits hard - forcing it - wasn't a bit helpful.

See here is a screenshot of what I see

IIRC, this has come up in other threads, and someone determined tapatalk was to blame. I don't use tapatalk so I can't help troubleshoot, but make sure you're using the latest version. I post photos from my iphone and they work fine. Yes, it is related to the EXIF metadata, and how tapatalk is handling it (or not handling it).

While my p3 has bravely survived several atving trips, im about to head to the lake. Which got me wondering, does anyone make a personal flotation device for our beloved p3?

Next time you're at a sporting goods store, spend $2 on a "pool noodle". Slice it down the side and make necessary cuts for screen, button, etc. Make sure it's one piece, and tie it off somewhere on the top and bottom or the P3 could slip out. I haven't tested this out - just thinking up a cheap suggestion - not willing to submerge my P3!
