TO, in anticipation of getting the Plasma tank, I had built a new coil and had it wicked and waiting for the tank, which I got home to last night. I've been vaping heavily with it now for a bit over 24 hours and the coil looks exactly the same as when I too my first vape last night. Since I'm using the exact same watts as I have in the regular KLF+ setup, I expect I'll get a week out of the coil before I think I need to re-wick. I can tell you the flavor is simply AWESOME on this thing. It really is. I'll post a picture when I think it's time to change the wick.
That spearmint you vape is probably as clean as it gets.

All of the juices my Vape shop makes are either no color, or very light in color. Depending on what flavor, they make 70/30 or 505/50 PG/VG blends. They pride themselves on making very safe juice. And just as I was getting my first Kayfun, they switched to all needle tip bottles, which turned out to really help with refilling Kayfun tanks.

The chimney is exactly the same diameter as the drip tip. It then attaches to the glass dome over the coil and wick. It's simply amazing how simple, yet elegant and effective it all is.

Ah, okay. The Rüzgar is shaped differently. The chimney tapers as it goes up and the top opening is tiny.

Ruzgar_parts.jpg

The lower chimney (#4) screws onto the deck (#3).
The upper chimney (#5) screws onto #4; The Delrin thingy (#6) sits in #5. Not everyone uses the Delrin thingy.
Then the glass (#1) slides over everything and fits into #3 and #5 with O-rings.
The metal sleeve (#7) slides over the glass and screws onto #3.
The top cap (#2) screws onto #7 and the drip tip fits in the cap.

Picture of the chimney assembled

I never get a truly bad hit on this thing. I'll be vaping along and then remember I haven't changed the wick in awhile. When I take it apart the wick is almost black and there is gunk inside the lower chimney.

My theory is that when to wick starts to get gunky, the gunky vapor gets caught in the chimney and only clean vapor comes out the top. The wicks might even get gunkier faster, since the gunky vapor is pushed back down.

In any case, since I've been vaping on this tank for so long and used to seeing black wicks, you can probably understand why I keep asking about how the wick looks in the Plasma. Come to think of it, I can't remember how long it's been since I rewicked. I will after this tank.

The Ruzgar appears very Kayfun'ish with the exception of the Delrin thingy. That said, on the Kayfun, I've typically felt the taste started to get a little harsh at about the 1 week mark. But when I open the chimney to get to the build deck, the cotton is only a little charged where it came in contact with the coil and the rest of the coil looks clean. As you've noticed, my juices are not very dark, so that may have something (a lot?) to do with the condition of the wick. I just remove the old cotton, dry burn any gunk off the coil, re-wick, refill and off I go for another week. For me, the second my vape tastes off, I re-wick. I figure the cost of cotton is so low and the effort to replace it has gotten so much easier for me, that it's a good thing do.

Edit: While it's only been a few weeks since I got on the Kayfun/Russian wagon, I too have never had a bad hit from either system. I have grown a lot though as I swore at one time, I'd never build coils. Look at me now, huh?!

Kayfun'ish, but not quite. I have 2 Kayfuns and the Rüzgar opening is narrower. I change the wick when it tastes off in the Kayfun, but it rarely tastes off in the Rüzgar, so I think I'm vaping it longer. (ETA: Longer than I should be).

My ADV is almost clear when it arrives, but I buy in bulk, so by the time it gets used it's steeped to a light yellow color.

I'm surprised then it's almost black when you change the wick? But it's pretty clear you don't change as often as I do. Other's might not change as often as me either. And other's I know change their wicks far sooner than either of us.

The part that gets me is that it's a problem they have not seen before. Yet they want to find out why it happened, and they want to keep it from happening again in the future. To me this shows how dedicated they are to making the most reliable device available on the market. I guess the old saying "You get what you pay for" holds true....

MOST DEFINITELY. I absolutely LOVE my Gus, but nothing can take the place of a Provari.

I'm well stocked in their 2900 batts, so I really don't need any. But they're offering email subscribers a 10% discount (next 48 hours only) with the code YT11EA.
Don't say I never did anything for ya's.

I've had some of theirs running for two-plus years, and still going strong. I'd say they're pretty OK.

Bye.

Much to my delight, I discovered the Provarinati end caps at Provape when looking for a way to spend my Provape Rewards. Sad I wasn't around here at the time for the end cap's development....

....but at least I was around when the Provarinati was conceived by our beloved Lion.

So, of course, I ordered one of the Provarinati end caps and a back up 18490 battery. Now that I've had my latest dose of koolaid,

Ok..... I've just encountered the strangest thing with my P3.

The damned thing looks like it is trying to reset itself

The multi light button keeps going through all the colors and the screen brings up the ProVape logo. Fades out then bright again. WHat!?!?

Take the battery out and then put it in again and see if that solves it. Also, maybe stretch the spring a bit while your fiddling......

It doesn't  Even let it sit overnight with no battery. Still doing it. It won't stop unless I take the battery out

There is also a carbon mark on the top of the battery when I remove the battery. I just wanna cry. I've had bad luck with this thing.

When it works...I LOVE it.

Looks like it will need a return trip to the Provape Spa. I'm sorry Robin. They are such wonderful devices, but for some reason this particular one isn't happy right now.

Here's one I made more than two years ago. Very basic. It was originally designed to hold 30ml juice bottles on the top row and 510 attys on the bottom two rows. I have since modified it to hold 4 mods on the top tier and 18xxx batteries on the second tier. I made a half dozen of these things and gave the others away in return for a charitable contribution to their favorite charity. Vape stations have become more artistic these days and look exquisite. But, mine remains very utilitarian and has been helpful in keeping organized. Everything else vape-related goes in boxes in a drawer so my desk doesn't look like a trash heap.

The first thing which caught my eye was it appears you have 4 golf balls sitting on tees in the back. No doubt you know how to work with wood and tools, which leaves me out. The old saying measure twice and cut once has still not helped my wood cutting or drilling skills. I can tell you used oak so one bonus point for me. It looks beautiful Bronze. I needed one that would hold two Provari's and a few Kayfuns which I can take from the kitchen to the living room coffee to my night stand. Mine will be cherry wood with about 5 coats of polyurethane. He texted me the picture last night to get my approval. Hopefully it will be finished this weekend and shipped out.

That spearmint you vape is probably as clean as it gets.

I still think RB vapes vodka or gin.

It will be a nice stand Ping and it will do what you need, which is what matters most! I don't even drink vodka or gin, so SR ain't vapin' it either!

Do you have some Provari curse on you? I wonder if the wire on the 510 connector is loose as I read that has happened before. It could be the reason for the flashing lights. Good luck.
