Wow this was a classless comment. Haven't been on this thread for months now I remember why.
Agreed, but it's due to his lack of comprehension of what I wrote - basically, a miscommunication.

Sorry you feel that way. But his comment was condescending and I stand by my comment.
While I liked your first two responses...After my reply, I hope you got a good taste of the foot of your preference.
While I liked your first two responses...
This one is just baiting the hook now.
IMO, Jim
...so perhaps we can just move on with P3 discussions.
I like my P3s...
And sometimes... I can be a bit of a corn bung holio too.
I'm thinking, "Probably not."
I was trying to be helpful, in letting you know what most recording engineers use. Why be hostile?
I'm an audiophile as well. I built my own speakers. I use a custom Focal 12" originally manufactured for Wilson Audio and used in their $150K speakers. I was able to get them because I know one of their engineers, who is from France, but lives 10 minutes from my house.
I see what's going on here. Your English reading comprehension has evaded you. Please go back and re-read what I wrote. "They're not the best..." is referring to my recommendation, not your selection.
John, I don't know you really. You could be the nicest guy I ever met. I honestly don't know. I'm trying to be constructive...but sometimes your comments come across as put downs.
Perhaps a little more scrutiny of what you're writing before you hit the send button would save some conflict. No?
Except for the one that I hold on that guy that cut me off on the freeway two years ago! (I'm gonna get him back one day)
LOLz, Jim
If my comment was taken out of context, because I believe you were saying the Zik 2.0 headphones aren't "audiophile," I certainly apologize. I read and re-read your post and to my mind that is what you were saying, while at the same time telling us how being a video and audio engineer, somehow makes you more qualified.
If I misunderstood, I would have never said what I said and for that, please accept my apology.
I shoulda known...Yeah, about that. Sorry, Jim.
Well, I've had people make statements to me that I interpret as a put down. But I always give the benefit of the doubt...on the first one. But if I get 2 , 3 or more similar comments then I take to blowing the guy's doors off. I suspect others are like me in this respect.Isn't a little subtle retribution a perfectly understandable response when one is attacked? But yes, I am the nicest guy ever.
Perhaps, but it's not fair for me to walk away feeling anger after an attack. Making that statement makes me feel better, and deservedly so. But, that's just my opinion, and what works for me.
