Way back, wasn't there a change in the P3 end cap? A different spring or something? I seem to recall someone, @AstroTurf perhaps, who posted pictures of each and found I had the older version.

Edit, found what I was looking for: The Beta units went out with a much smaller spring and the change occurred pre-production to the larger spring.

Yep, the beta had the v2.5 end cap and spring. I upgraded to a Provarinati end cap, effectively making mine a production model. I wasn't aware the spring was update yet again.

ETA: What's been bugging me is the when I put in a fresh battery it's been showing the % in the 80s. If it was just one battery I would chalk it up to the battery being old, but it's happening with almost all of them, including the new one with the black stripe.

18650? The larger the battery, the higher the internal resistance, and the lower the battery % tends to be. Also, what's your IQ? No, not YOURS, the P3? Lower IQ will result in a lower battery level. One of the flaws in the IQ feature is that it doesn't take into account the different internal resistances of different cells, IMHO. IQ always tends to be significantly higher, the smaller the battery.

I use the 18490. I don't pay attention to the IQ, since it doesn't seem to have any relevance to the battery - at least in my case. Right now I have 7% on the charge and the IQ says 81/Great, but it could easily say Poor with a battery at 60%.

Ping'll say I'm still in the Radius Cloud for this, but this is what is so great about the Radius design. The spring in the P series is part of the electrical connection whereas the spring in the Radius is not. Like you, I've found the black stripe AW's uniformly produce a lower IQ. The battery percent isn't lower, but IQ is.

My you've went from Master of the lube to electrical engineer. Perhaps the IQ was dropped is because it was driving people nuts. Are you saying there is no spring used in the battery cap? The Provape video shows one. Which leads to this question what happens to the perfect connection when the spring starts to lose it's tension?

So the small one holds about the same amount as the 510 Kabuki, and the med-sized holds about the same amount as the P3 Kabuki? I'm looking forward to getting the plasma tanks, but I am concerned about dropping the mod while using them. It's like a motorcycle....the question isn't have you dropped your bike, but when.

Ping, given that in theory, it should only be necessary to remove the bottom plate on a Radius perhaps once a year or even longer, the screws on the bottom plate will keep the battery firmly planted and the spring itself isn't likely going to lose any tension. In comparison, on the P3, we remove the bottom virtually daily, often more than once a day, and the spring is certainly more prone to losing tension far faster.

Also, on IQ. @Vape360 already said why Radius doesn't have IQ. And it's because it simply doesn't need to show it, like it does on a P3. Now you may think I'm less in love with my P3. I'm not. I love love love my P3. But I have to say, now that I've had the Radius a week, I truly appreciate how utterly simple it is to use. It's simply less work than a P3 and the vape is every bit as fantastic. No batteries to worry about. No charger to worry about charging the battery. And if I need to, I can USB charge and vape at the same time with Pass-through. The form factor, is to me better and it just looks cool. 18650 in something shorter than a mini with 18350 is a bonus too.

Fanboy? Yes. Elitist? Hardly. Both are great devices. But so far, I am really digging this Radius. Yes I am!

Ping, I think you'd like the Phenomenon tank by GUS MOD. With the PMMA straight tank. With the Lite base for that nice MTL.
In Ti combo - nothing beats the weight.

That's what makes the tank reaaaaaly light. And it only has 4 parts (with the driptip, without the 2 screws).
Even more time to catch it if it's falling.

Faster. Except the White model. I think they have written that in case they do get back logged. Better to have something sooner than planned rather than later than scheduled.

Does anyone have any experience with the regular and titanium Stealth? I am wondering if the titanium version will scratch more easily than the normal version and if the trade off in weight is worth it.

I have a Celtic Knot brushed steel and it hasn't scratched up at all in the six months I've had it. Love it! If I spend that kind of money, I want a tough enough mod that will stay looking new, although I am very gentle on my mods.

I PM'ed him about a week or so ago and got a nice response. As many know he was in physical therapy for a long time and he's finally improved enough to go back to work. He made a promise to his family to not come home and become glued to the forum in the evenings, instead sharing his time more with his family. He said he's doing well and promised he'd check in sometime. I'm sure he will......

Just read the latest TOC from the FDA Deeming Regs. Not looking good. If HR-2058 (I think that's it) comes to a vote and passes, the P3 and predecessor mods would be grandfathered... At least one ray of Sunshine!
