I was also concerned about the fit of your tank...I normally use Kabukis with the P3 connection, but I imagine for some things I may use a 510 topper now and then. Has that part of it gotten any better? I'm really considering some form of P3 Ti to round out my collection, I just haven't decided which. I'd actually rather have a 2.5 Ti mini, but there isn't one to be found :(
The connection is appearing to break in, I get no gap with my attys after a couple of days. Maybe the coating needed to be worked a few time on the threads to ease up. I this is now a non-issue.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! Since I am striking out on the 2.5 Ti mini, I'll probably get one of these, now I just need to decide if I want regular Ti or Stealth Ti.

For the extra $40, I think the Ti may be the way to go. When I was wrangling with this same question last month, someone in this forum gave me sage advice: If you don't get the Titanium, you'll more than likely be wishing you did. If you do get the Stealth Ti, you probably won't be wishing you got the regular.

The Ti has one relatively small flaw - the top cap (the whole top cap, with the + pin) comes out of the tube a bit, once in a while. Press-fit titanium doesn't hold as tight as stainless. Have this on mine, buddy has this on his.

Thanks Raitizz - I had never noticed that before. The slight gap is more noticeable (but I guess only if you are looking for it, because I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it) than the stainless. I've never had it come out though. I find it interesting that Support told me the conductivity for the Titanium was better than the Stainless, though.

Well, that sucks. I don't have that problem with the 2.5 Ti

It only comes out ..I dunno, max 0.4mm, more on one side than on the other. Then you have to hammer it back in ((c) Mothership). My black SS has no gaps and has never had them, even under heavy duty.

Here are some pics of a standard gap. Took those just now because it just so happens, I have a gap there.
When this occurs, screw off your atty, the beauty ring, take teh battery out and take your shoe off.

I wonder if this would be a problem if you didn't use the ring/510 and just went with P3 tanks like the Kabuki?
I have the slight gap similar to what Raitizz has in the second picture (running it in P3 mode), but have never had it pop out any further (had it about 2 months). My other one, I've had since February and been running it in 510 mode - same gap and never had it increase/pop out....

Yes. It's a press-fit material issue between the +pin top-cap and the tube.

Never had mine completely out too. Just hammerin' in from time to time.

Ok, yeah, not paying $280 for a Ti P3 that can't keep its head on

I'm just saying what issues I have. You may never experience them. It's a great mod and I really like it. Would recommend. You can't beat the weight.
It's 250 now. Before the Xmas sale (I assume there will be one).
BUT - ships in 4-6 weeks :(

The weight is why I was considering it. I have the 2.5 Ti and I love it, just wish it were a mini. I appreciate what you're saying, but paying three bills for a mod that has trouble staying together...nope. I might just pick up a satin mini or a P3 blem. It's too bad, I was looking forward to another Ti.

My Ti Provi (3of them) never experienced this separation...

I would not accept tech support telling me to just tap it with a hammer either!

I can always make another ticket or two. Both of the affected P3 Ti's have the same Mothership order number.
I am considering it. Maybe it's just a bad batch. Who knows.
@MonsterKenny , maybe ;)
