With the current ecf format you have to save the image on your computer first, then upload the file. Such a bother.
Ocey, you are truly amzing, but something really weird is going on, at 96 X 99 resize, the image is at 52.2 KB, file still too large to upload to Avie. I applaud your efforts, but I am face palming at my inept ability to utilize it :(

You're not inept, it's the software. I make all of the avatar images 200px x 200px and it's usually happy with that, but sometimes not. :(

I kept trying that, then it says file too big ? no bigger than 29.3kilobytes???
Try using PixelFormer to change the size? Someone recommended this in the DNA200 Thread and it works great. You can adjust the size in pixels.
Pixelformer :: Icon and Bitmap Editor
I was able to resize this to 128x131 from 192x197 and it came out to 27 Kb.

I really dislike the current format. I don't know why it sometimes compresses files and other times it doesn't. I just checked SR's avatar and it's 117.2K. Try this one. It's still over the size limit, but it's smaller.

ECF says the file is too big. Help!

Ever since I became an ECF Supporting Member, I've not had the file is too big issue? Not sure why though.......
