(Sorry for the large pictures.)

I wonder if the adaptor fit has to do with the cap design. All of my older ProVarii have round top cap like this:

But the last mini I bought has notches on the edges. I imagine it's for better air flow

Ok, testing done.

We have three 510-P3 adapters and the results are the same for all of them.

No connection on two P3's or a V2. Made connection on one V2.
I bought one to try it out, it works on some of my slant tops, others no go, with the proVape beauty ring it doesn't connect with most of them, @Zen~, you made another too short pin decision on the P3/510 adaptors. My solution, I bought a Clone base from Fasstek for like 3$, I replaced the P3 base with a clone base and for 3$ my 90+$ tank now can be used with all of my slant top ProVari's with a beauty ring without fail. Thank You China for helping me use my Kabuki's with my old school ProVari's

Above content was NOT a joke :)

Thanks, once again I either got an unuseable Zen product, or a bunch of my ProVari's have low pins...
E, does it work on your Classic? I just tried and it worked fine on mine. So I pulled out my oldest Provari, and it didn't work, until I pulled the pin up on the Provari. I used a small flat tip, and now it works. Hope that helps you.

Yeah, I got a bunch of old ProVari mods, V2's, 2.5's and a V1 that's been upgraded. I'm all set for now;) The Classic I could use in P3 mode anyways, I just wanted to be able to use my OG P3 Kabuki with all my ProVari's, and for my situation, I had to outsource. No biggie...

Hey Ocelot! Thanks for posting this pictures, I saw the pink-mule logo and on a whim I went on over there. Lo and behold, I found a titanium extension ring I can use on my 2.5 mini to run 18650 batteries. Price only a couple of dollars more than if Provape had it stock.

Appreciate it.

NO, the adaptor was a fail
Here it is in a nut shell:

I used THREE P3's, TWO V2's and THREE 510-P3 adapters to come up with the same results across the board.

510-P3 adapter works with GMZ and Stealth Kabuki's.
501-P3 adapter does NOT work with Ti or SS Kabuki's.

I understand some have better results, some worse. Worse yet, seems like there are quite a few people who can't get it to work at all.

Everybody ready for this? There is nothing wrong with the length of the adapter's pin. Rather, it's the coils being out of spec and the pins on the PV's being different lengths. Just tap the pin in the adapter one way or the other.

This is what CS at HOH wrote me back when I wrote them explaining the problem.

I figured that out on my own, the adaptor has a semi floating pin. In some cases that pin is just too short to make contact with the coil center pin and the 510 center pin of the slant top ProVari's. EDIT- While using the ProVape Tank Ring.

ProVape has always been all over the place with how high / low their 510 center pins sit.

I didn't have a problem with my adapter working on a slant top ProVi or a flat top ProVi. I also tested it on various other 510 devices with no issue. In fact, I use it on one now and it will probably live there til the mod dies.

I also put it on the Kabuki first instead of the mod and I'm thinking that could help some of this frustration. If not, there are circuit board spacers still sold at MadVapes.

As to various depth of the pin on Provi's -- I do use a circuit board spacer on a couple of my 2.5's for most attys to connect, and it's a must when using the ProVape beauty ring. Mostly it is necessary with my first "blem" from ages ago, and I assumed that I'd found the blem.

As always, YMMV.

I've had trouble with some attys connecting, but not others. In my case I found it to be the beauty ring causing the problem. I have beauty rings from different companies and not all work with the same tank. The only one that works with all of them is a Delrin ring from Loki Labs, but they don't make them anymore.

ProVape has always been all over the place with how high / low their 510 center pins sit.

So, Coldgin made mention of this in an email to Stacie.... I pulled 50 Adapters.... that's FIFTY... And I pulled 25 DIFFERENT PVs including an assortment of ProVaris from several different eras...

The result.... 100% connectivity.... UNTIL... I put on some "Beauty Rings" on several of the ProVaris.

My conclusion is that the 510 connector is NOT a standard. If somebody could direct me to a SPEC SHEET for a 510 connector that tells me DEFINITIVELY where that 510 pin is going to be, then I'm going to just have to say sorry folks... the Adapter isn't a fail... the 510 connector is. If the pin is too short to use with a beauty ring that doesn't belong there in the first place, and was not designed by either ProVape OR HoH, then how is my adapter, that connected to 100% of the test devices a fail? It has a snug floating pin... should I loosen it so then it can fail because people lose it?

I rarely get heated about this stuff but I have been saying FOR YEARS that the 510 is horrible.

I mean... come ON... the 510 connector is the problem. (And by that, I don't mean ProVari 510s... I mean ALL 510s... it's a moving target)

I have some don't rest on top of the 2.5 and simply fit nicely around it -- but I don't even know which I got where --- except for the trevvapor one. I don't have a Delrin one, though I've been generally pleased with the Loki's I do have.

If someone were to make these gems again, I'd buy a few -- even though 1/2 my ProVi's are flat tops these days.

The one I use the most someone gave me, I think it was Train2. I know it came from an overseas company, but I forgot the name. It has teardrops on it.
