Thought I should.

Didn't we both buy the last 2.5 Ti?

Did anyone else notice that there are no silver Radius screws available? I suppose one could mix & match with the bronze or gunmetal but having none matching most of the mods that were sold?

It just keeps getting worse. If I had any sense I'd just stop looking at the site, but like a train wreck it's hard for me to look away.

They don't match the metal on the Radius in any case.

The Radius top and bottom caps are media blasted, while the silver screws are bare metal.

I ordered the gun metal ones, just to have some spare screws. I doubt I will ever need them, but better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them. :|

Has Provape ever verified that the gold they still have in stock is in fact Zencoat? I see that it's described as vapor deposition. I think Zen said his method was different. I only ask since the one treatment I absolutely rely on is Zencoat. In my experience, it is indestructable and unlike all the others which have varying degrees of durability. I remember that not all Provape coatings were from Mike.

After posting, I think the proper term is Zencote.

As I understand it, the new finishes are a type of Vapor Deposition and not ZenCote.

The gold and gunmetal are zencoat. Zencoat is a form of vapor deposition but not quite the same. Iirc the finishes on the custom radius is a common vapor deposition.

If I recall correctly Zenkote is vapor deposition. Whether it is done by Zen using the HOH formula or not is up in the air. Somebody must have a 2.5 gold Zenkote to compare, but I'm guessing Provape didn't shop for a different vendor.

I remember Zen saying that Provape did just that, I think I read it in the Kabuki thread.

ProVape did use another company and process for the Custom Radii creating the colored metal finishes. We were informed it was a vapor disposition process by ProVape, most likely in the Customize your Radius thread.

The only P3 ZenKote I recall ever seeing was the GMZ one.

ZenKote is a perhaps somewhat similar process only used by HOH--Zen--that he obtained exclusive rights to use from his past career endeavors and contacts. It's mentioned in the Kabuki thread as well as much earlier Zen related threads. It's pricey -- and products using it seem to always use the trademarked ZenKote name.

Whatever it is, it sure is purdy for those who enjoy Gold. :)

Curiously, after all the talk about Provape throwing stuff into the box, my P3 Ti arrived in a little plastic envelope, with absolutely nothing but the P3. Not that I want the stickers or whatever, but perhaps I ...... them off somehow.
Same for the order before this one, which was springs and Kabuki tanks and a couple of Radius screws. Must be me.
