With all this talk about what to do with earlier versions of the ProVari, and polished stainless finish, I figured I'd share my thoughts on both subjects.
I've been finding myself using my v2.5 a lot more since I got the P3, and I've been using my v2.5 MORE than my P3! Can't explain it - the P3 is more advanced, way cooler, and I'm an engineer and geek at heart. I think it's my new found love of the
nautilus BVC
coils (had a lot of BDC
coils to burn through before I got to try the BVC), but it could be that I'm being lazy knowing I need to rebuild the Kayfun.
My v2.5 is black, and if I'd waited to get a production version of the P3, it would have been black. I have several stainless (brushed and polished) mechanical mods, but would never have thought to get a polished or satin silver ProVari. But, as it turns out, I couldn't wait and got the P3 beta in satin silver and really like it. It's nice knowing the "color" will never wear off.
I don't know what ProVape recommends for polishing the polished ProVari, but for mechanicals, I'm glad I found the GP PnB tool - I have to keep my polished stainless mods shiny. I'd worry about using it on the ProVari though, as with all the heat build up, it'd probably melt the plastic window.
