There has to be some kind of respectful way to retire the V2.5's and lower. I can't come to grips with just tossing it in my bone box with the rest of the retired crap I have. My Provari deserves more than to sit on the bottom of a box laying next to a Vivi Nova and a Lavatube. If I'm ProVape, I offer some Provari caskets on the website. Make them of the same finishes with a matching tombstone. Offer us a Provari box filled with Provari dirt so we can give her a proper burial. Have a section on the website for obituaries. It's only proper.

Or maybe a nice plexiglass shaped coffin. Then we could display our past Provi on the mantle.

Question for Provape that will keep me up tonight-(I should have asked before I ordered those NCRs )-

Way back when on the original Provari,, the motivation for us all going with AW's was partially related to momentary spikes.
Without asking you to endorse anything or share any internal details, the NCR18650PFs are rated at 18A for up to 5 or 6 second pulses.
- is that high enough with some margin of safety to withstand momentary pulses you guys might have seen on your end on the P3?

Better safe than sorry...

With all this talk about what to do with earlier versions of the ProVari, and polished stainless finish, I figured I'd share my thoughts on both subjects.

I've been finding myself using my v2.5 a lot more since I got the P3, and I've been using my v2.5 MORE than my P3! Can't explain it - the P3 is more advanced, way cooler, and I'm an engineer and geek at heart. I think it's my new found love of the nautilus BVC coils (had a lot of BDC coils to burn through before I got to try the BVC), but it could be that I'm being lazy knowing I need to rebuild the Kayfun.

My v2.5 is black, and if I'd waited to get a production version of the P3, it would have been black. I have several stainless (brushed and polished) mechanical mods, but would never have thought to get a polished or satin silver ProVari. But, as it turns out, I couldn't wait and got the P3 beta in satin silver and really like it. It's nice knowing the "color" will never wear off.

I don't know what ProVape recommends for polishing the polished ProVari, but for mechanicals, I'm glad I found the GP PnB tool - I have to keep my polished stainless mods shiny. I'd worry about using it on the ProVari though, as with all the heat build up, it'd probably melt the plastic window.

Robin, do NOT listen. It's just all boy stuff. The polished are absolutely fine (hey.... bit of déjà vu here?) and stay shiny. Somehow, this must be a male dirty fingers thing. ;)

FTFY, your Bronzeness. :)

Have I told you lately that I love you?

Oh, I never have?

Let me fix that then!

I LOVE YOU!!

Only Robin can trash a Provari. I still think she was the captain of the Titanic...resurrected. :)

Trashed it twice :sneaky:

:pervy: Titanic, indeed! :pervy:

Wow. I have not just been equaled, but I have been TOPPED. I am Dr. Destructo no more! Handing my crown over...

The King is dead, long live The Queen!

I haven't mentioned the third....I haven't had it fixed because.. Well let's just say that it is embarrassing that this customer (did you know that if you flip the u and the o in the word makes it costumer?) is such a spaz. I broke that window in a different ProVari.

Yeah, I am tough on the thing but damn, it keeps working! I should have been a beta tester for them

I've used this only once before (to KD, somewhat ironically), but it fits here too. I bow to the greatness of your "breakness".

Sorry for the late response, it's been pretty hectic the last few days, and I'm behind on my forum reading...Getting ready for the big party coming up. BTW: You all are invited. :)

Those specs should be just fine, but does the cell have a protection circuit installed? If not, the issue is it is an unprotected cell using the lithium chemistry that is not as safe as the high drain lithium chemistry. According to Panasonic it should have a protection circuit on it.

For some reason the dancing banana always makes me smile
