So I guess this is what the kayfun 4 looks like on a P3. Not sure about the wide body tank look. Kind of reminds me of a nautilus Mini on an eGo battery (but a whole lot more expensive).

My review - which will be meaningless to most of you, since we vape differently.

I'm having fun with the P3, but I got it as a collectable. Frankly, for how I vape, it's overkill. I tried vaping at 20w, just to see what it's like and my juice didn't taste very good. I'm back in the range 4 to 4.4v (≈10-12w), like I vape with my 2.5s. Also, the VW option is rather pointless for me. I've been vaping VV for so long I can do a pretty close approximation of watts based on volts & resistance (without a calculator) - which doesn't matter anyway, since I only use a couple of toppers and they are within .1 resistance of each other, and whenever I do try something new, I set the volts at 2+resistance (≈8w) and adjust to taste.

The boost function is an interesting concept, but I don't take primer puffs with a ProVari, so the benefit may be lost on me. One thing I think I noticed (but I will have to re-wick a few more times to be sure) is that with the boost on it seems to bypass the cottony taste I get with a new cotton wick. I will have to experiment with this more.

The shipping notice email came this afternoon. Hopefully it will show up on Friday, since I already have the day off from work and can sign for the package.

Anyone here from FL who already ordered, and can maybe give me an estimate of the average shipping time?

Once it shipped you will have it with in two work day's.

Robin lives in FL and it shipped three days later. She ordered on a Thursday (and it shipped the same day) and it arrived on Monday. Same for me in NC. Others got it in two days. They ship it two-day priority mail but that's only if they feel like it...evidently.

We vape very similarly, in that I don't change toppers and I use the same coils day in and day out. But I finally switched to VW and I have found it better (although my pea-sized mind still doesn't fully grasp the difference) and while I was never a pre-puff guy, I don't think I would be happy not having boost again. Is a P3 overkill for someone like me? I suppose it could be, but you'd have to pry my P3 from my cold dead hands, so I guess it's not overkill at all. No it's not!

The P3 might be feature-heavy for some, but let's not forget the Provari is built like a tank. Something to be said about that. As I've stated before, the best feature the Provari imparts is CONFIDENCE!

I don't find it feature heavy at all, even if I don't change tops. I love the flexibility it offers, and I couldn't agree more that owning a Provari instills confidence. I don't ever wonder if my 2.5 or P3 won't fire when I push the button.

Well, it has as many or more features than anything else on the market so it is laden with do-dads (mostly useful ones). The confidence comes in knowing that I am getting the best vaping experience possible from a regulated mod. Are there others as good? Perhaps. But I know I'm getting top shelf with a Provari.

If you enjoy it that's all that matters. As I said, I'm having fun with it and don't regret the purchase in the least.

I bought my first Provari just over 6 months ago. I knew nothing about Provape or their devices. I just knew I was tired of having devices poop out on me. Heaven forbid you dropped your device. So I went to my local Vape Store and asked them what's the absolute best, most durable and safe regulated mod they sold. They put my top on a 2.5 and I haven't looked back since. I joined this forum soon after and found a family of friends I didn't know existed.

Provari has opened a whole new world to me!

I don't think most P3 users understand the true value of boost...particularly for the low/mid watt vapers (5 - 15W). It goes beyond the pleasure of getting instant vapor. I'm a true believer in the more coil area you have, the more flavor you will get. Thicker wire will do that. The tradeoff is thicker wire (all other things being equal) takes longer to heat up and is kind of a bummer...especially for the ADD crowd. Boost takes that heat-up problem away. Now we can use a thicker wire building the same coil (e.g., wraps and diameter) and achieve more coil area without the heat-up time. Result: more flavor. You can also increase the size of your coil because it is less resistance/inch and you can achieve larger coil area this way as well.

Don't be afraid to experiment with your builds using thicker wire. When teamed up with the Provari's boost, you're not only getting a power boost but you're getting a flavor boost as well.

Sounds like Friday will probably be the day then. That works for me! :D

(seriously trying to NOT geek out over getting this puppy)

Oh it's just fine to geek out in anticipation of a new Provari. Honest. And the anticipation will be rewarded with an amazing device! Oh yes it will!

I wouldn't say that. I give it only a 50% chance you see it on Friday (if you got your shipping notice today). I'm not trying to be a downer but I know the disappointment that comes from not getting vapemail on the day you think it should show up. Just want to prepare you but hope you see it on Friday. Should be no later than Saturday though.

Saturday would work as well, but I'm hoping for Friday. Next I'll have to get some 350 and 490 batteries since I only have 650s right now. I want to try all the different configurations.

Yup, I'm geeking out. [emoji1]

Geek away! You have good reason! :)

It's nice to have the different battery options too.

The wide body is very similar, if not the same, as the original Makrolon tank...

I don't know why people keep bawking at this design, as it is nothing new...

Looks damn sexy on that P3 though!!!
That Navy Lifeguard is one lucky sumb-tch!
Can't wait to see real pictures of the whole clear tank set up...and I'm definitely not interested in the full metal jacket...those who don't want to see their juice level must be very rare...

Thanks, i appreciate the response and I understand why No-OX is preferred over Noalox...but i was asking about Deox-IT. This stuff is different, it completes drys so there is no residue left to attract dirt. It's used to clean battery contacts and other electronic contacts.

I use DeoxIT Red. It removes oxidation and improves connectivity.

It also provides a bit of light lubrication.

I do not feel the need to use anything heavier than that.

YMMV

From the Caig Laboratories site:

Caig Laboratories D100L-25C Features:

Acts as a unique contact cleaner, rejuvenator, conductivity enhancer, and lubricant
Dissolves oxidation and corrosion on metal surfaces
Fills in microscopic gaps and reseals surface for better contact to improve flow of electricity
Reduces intermittent connections, arcing, wear, and abrasion
Temperature Range: -29°F to 392°F
