Thanks cool Ping. Do you have one and where did you get it?? Huh?? Where??

It comes from Cloud 9 from the UK and I can not take credit for it as HB posted the video in the Kayfun Lite thread. If you need to change a wick or coil and want to avoid removing the juice from the tank it becomes a handy tool to have. HB has one and loves it. I emailed Cloud 9 and asked if it worked on the five pawns edition as well as the Lite Plus and it was sort of funny as he wrote right back and said I need to check on that. The next day they sent another email and said it works on both.

Bronze is right about all the rebuildables out there and when they are stripped down they all appear to look like the Kayfun. I personally feel the Five Pawns edition vapes better than the Lite. It's smaller and holds less liquid but the chimney goes right into the drip tip and my juices IMO taste better in the FP.

I found it last night on Cloud9. I did find one from a US supplier, but I can't quite remember who at the moment. I think it was only about $3. As the FP, I'm glad you like it so well. For me, it wouldn't work well because 2.5 ml isn't enough juice to last through a workday and I just don't have the time to take worry about refilling any tank while I'm at work.

John Boy Walton from the Walton's fame. A popular TV show in the 70's about the trials and tribulations of a mountain family with a lot of kids during the Depression. At the end of each show they put the camera on the house and we heard everyone in the family say goodnight to each other. The last one was usually Elizabeth (the youngest girl in the family) saying, "Goodnight John Boy" (the oldest of the kids). And that's how each show ended. Ping posted a you tube vid a few pages back if you really care to see it. I guess you have to be an old fart to appreciate it. :)

It's really about the family that brought us Wal-mart :)

You found a US vendor and can't remember who? No soup for you.

Well..........you KNOW I'm OCD. I'm just surprised the cotton needs to be replaced every other day. Yes I am!

It all depends on the juice Rod. I'll go 4+ tanks in some juices and 1 tank on others. Just get in the habit of popping the top piece off the chimney and checking the coil at least every other refill.

Well yes it is simple but did you really never get one leak, gurgle, dry hit, etc in all your KFL days? No juice on your lips/in your mouth at any point?

Overall I absolutely 100% agree with your statements about the simplicity and reliability of a KFL though! [emoji106][emoji106]

I've never had issues with my good kayfuns. I did have a Yiloon clone that had nothing but issues and that was just bad workmanship. My eh pro clones and authentics have never been a problem.

Because people see my comments and think I'm knocking KFL's or something: Let me be clear, I'm not talking about problems with the devices. But to make these statements that we've never had a dry hit, gurgle or leak is like saying "I've never once put too little, or too much cotton in the coil". Or "I've never used A liquid that was just a tad too thick", or any other type statements people make when they're "fiddling" with their devices. That's what vaping is all about.... Fiddling and finding what you like.

The statements I've seen here have been making the claim that from day 1, every single fill from top to bottom of tank have been absolute perfect puffs. Not a leak, drip (besides "condensation" - which is juice), gurgle, dry hit, never required a primer puff, etc. If anyone would be willing - please make videos because you're a machine and you're doing something magical.

For those that change wicks every other day, at minimum were talking about 180 perfectly built kayfuns. Or close to 360 perfectly built kayfuns over 2 years. With human hands. I'm just sayin.

My 3 EHPro KFL's were and frankly still are FANTASTIC! They're likely going to be the device I take camping or outdoors type things this summer due to their reliability and ruggedness. I've even touted how awesome the KFL is in the KF4 thread. How easy, etc and it's the device I always recommend to noobs and will do a build in front of them to show them how. But to say I've never had one bad build, leak, gurgle for a hit or two would be a lie.

*Must be because they're not authentic Haha. For the record, I think I'm only buying authentic from now on. ErlPrinz (if you van count it) KF4, Calix, Phenomenon lite. Maybe I'll try a KFL, but for how amazing the EHpro clones are that I already have from my noob days, I don't really see the point - ya know?

KFL's (well that build style including the iterations before it) are the original "old reliable. I fully agree with that.

I've owned authentic Kayfuns since the summer of 2013. I estimate I have vaped 3,000 mls of juice from these Kayfuns. I'll use a coil anywhere from 1 month to 4 months, change the wick after every two tanks. I will say it again, I have yet to have a single dry hit, flooding, or a single molecule of leakage. I speak for only me. What other folks are experiencing is something I cannot answer for.

I will say I conducted an experiment once where I tried to force a dry hit in my Kayfun and was successful when I had too little cotton. But this was a forced experiment to see what impact cotton volume had on wicking. My results proved that too little cotton will produce a dry hit. There was not any such thing as having too much cotton that would produce a dry hit.

Oh, and I did do a pictorial awhile back (before Japanese cotton became popular). :)

I decided to get new Nano Kits for my Kayfuns. The ones I had before were frosted plastic. It's just a matter of time before my P3 does a header and these plastic parts will shatter in a million pieces. So I got the more standard Nano kits this time. In mini P3 mode it is a very compact setup that I enjoy.
