How did you find that?!? Thanks so much! I'm going to call, first thing tomorrow morning. It's a hike - about 1 1/2 hours without traffic - but I like Balmer :)

You're welcome. Go to the Provape Site. Click on Help, then Locator. Then type in Maryland in the search bar and scan down the dealers until you find one with Upgrade Center listed, and you'll see the one in Reisterstown is listed as an Upgrade Center.

To me, it would be worth the drive to not have to send my P3 away to the Provape Spa. And you could make a day of it and make it a fun trip.

This update is surely great news, in regards to the P3 capabilities and ProVape's commitment to us as users, but at the same time it can be bothersome for some of us in many regards.

With me here in Mexico, it's impossible to send it to the U.S. as it might be stolen by the postal service here and there aren't really any Vape shops here as vaping is kinda underground… bans have been lifted by our senate, but the postal service and carriers have not updated their policies and authorities just don't care.

Having said that… I've got myself some good news, my nearest dealer has just updated their website and they are now an authorized upgrade center! I just have to wait to hear from them and see if I can walk by in and do the update, as they seem to offer it by sending to them via postal service (they are very close to me…) but the fact that they can now upgrade is awesome news for me!

I appreciate your help ... however, I cannot ship it to that pawn shop every time ProVape decides to upgrade the P3.

For this first upgrade, I should be able to ship this to ProVape and have it back in Florida by the 24th ... the fact ProVape cannot do this, is the deal breaker.

As I said ... I predicted this was going to happen ... I'm sure I am not the only person outside of the USA who bought a P3 and cannot get it updated without major hassles or cost.

Live and learn :glare:

Yeah, you're prolly right.

With a Chinese Mod, you wouldn't have this hassle!

The only update I saw that was significant was the lower power limit for those who use those .5 ohm coils. If you don't use those coils I don't see where getting an update is critical.

Agreed. I'll get mine updated as I can locally, but I posted this above and I'll say it again. There's really nothing in the updates that will make the P3 vape any better than it does right now (below .7 ohm excepted).

Clearly good news for those .5 ohmers but beyond that it is just bells and whistles.

I can hear your frustration, but even with the new upgrades in the software, you'll never notice any difference in the vape. Even a Beta P3 will vape exactly as nicely as one updated or not.

Yeah, you're prolly right.

@WillyZee, is there a vape shop anywhere near where you will be in FL? Could you perhaps ship it there for the upgrade and ask that they ship it to wherever you are staying? I'm wracking my little bird brain for a solution ... There must be one!

Thanks LB for your help ... I was already looking, and no.

If ProVape cannot do this update and return it by May 24th ... I can't take a chance with somewhere else.

I tried calling that pawn shop long distance during their office hours ... they don't even answer the phone.

I really hope you find a solution, @WillyZee , as I also believe there must be a way.

I understand you, as I was In a similar situation just a few hours ago.

And I know this might not help much, as in sure you want and would benefit from the upgrade, but as many comment here the P3 is an amazing device that will work and provide a great and safe vape. And even if with a lot of hassles right now, there will surely be more updates and more opportunities for you to get your P3 upgraded.

So hang in there.

I re-wicked my KFL+ tonight and it went really really well!

For the record - me too!! Started out with a terrible sore throat last Thurs.... Then worse and worse until it hit its high point I think on Monday/Tues. I only have half a voice! The whole 9 yards! So I can relate...



Regarding the update, there's really nothing in it for me since I don't vape below even one ohm. And I'm always watching the quick settings for my battery % (which is a FANTASTIC feature itself). And for the vape counter stuff, sounds nice but not something I'd use. More for noobs just switching from analogs.

But still nice to see an update. The update should not cause any anger in my humble opinion. $5 shipping fair as well. Consider it a *very cheap upgrade fee.

This is the part I have the greatest problem with...

Vape360 told you one day turn around. There are 18 days until the 24th. So where is the fly in the ointment?
