No sir. ProVape (and other regulated mod makers) have incorporated many layers of protection to keep us from injuring ourselves and/or damaging our gear. Anyone new to rebuilding I always strongly recommend they use regulated mods so they do not hurt themselves in case of a building mistake..

Thanks! You all also just made me feel the urge to build up one of my older KFL+ clowns and it's performing great on the olé mini as well.

Sitting atop my 2.5 mini... Go figure - like 8 months go by and I discover I was probably good with what I already had! Haha.

I want to have some spare insulators for the KFL+ and Russian 91%. I found them at KidneyPuncher for a very reasonable price for a 4 pack of each. I doubt they're authentic replacement parts, but do I really need to spend the extra $$ for authentics? Do you guys have a recommendation? Just want to be prepared in case I ever need to replace the insulators on either device.

I don't think there is such a thing as "authentic" insulators. Either they fit or they don't. I doubt each one in the bag is perfect, we are talking about little pieces of mass-produced plastic here. I got mine off eBay.

Sir Rod.....this has long been a solution.

I found a possible source for the whistling sound in some of my kayfuns. The air flow screw had some sharp edges and burs at the very tip. Polished the tip with some fine sand paper and the whistling sound went down considerably. Polishing inside of the air hole with a diamond tip will also help. Same goes for aligning the air hole on the base with the hole on the center post.

I have kinda prepared for the very worst case scenario if regulations turn really ugly
